Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Agave, Vegetal, Hay, Honey, Grass, Floral Palate: White Pepper, Minerality, Mint Finish: Pepper, Vegetal, Grass, Agave This nose really gets better and better with a little breathing. Floral and honey start to arise. On the finish, I get lots of grass and pepper
Prolijo anejo 43 abv Sample from Matt C, Agave Swappers Nose: vegetal, hay, yeast, alcohol Palate: sweet agave and vegetal, not complex Finish: short Overall: Easy sipper, not complex
Aroma: Butter, cooked agave, white sugar, vanilla, vegital, honey, slight toasted marshmellow Pallet: Sweet cooked agave, white sugar, vegital, vanilla This tastes like tequila should. I can tell it’s made clean, using some of the more traditional methods. It’s not complex, but it’s great. The sweetness is next level in a great way. It’s agave! It’s as simple as that! Thanks Agave Swappers for this sample! I’d never heard of the brand and am glad I have had the chance!
Beautiful agave nose. Getting a bit of vegetal? Bit of vegetal follows through on the palate but has a nice pepper finish. I love this nose and finish. This is really good Sample provided by Agave Swappers
Prolijo Tequila Blanco opens with a challenging nose—heavy on hay and funk—that may be off-putting at first. However, the palate tells a different story, offering a much sweeter experience than expected, with soft cooked agave and light citrus notes. The mouthfeel is on the thinner side, but the short finish is clean and pleasant, leaving behind a subtle bitter sweetness. It's a decent tequila, although the initial aroma may be a hurdle for some.
Agave Swap Nose: cooked agave, hay, floral, slight pepper Taste: floral, cooked agave Finish: white pepper, cooked agave Short finish but a solid and clean blanco
A solid offering from the Prolijo team. Excited to see what else they come out with.
