Nose: vanilla/ caramel/ agave sweet cooked / cinnamon/ chocolate/ faint hint of cherry / grapefruit/ tea / faint floral / baking spice / molasses Taste: agave cooked / pepper / vanilla/ oak/ butter / apple/ melon / lime / anise / mint / tea / nutmeg/ whiskey notes / leather / cream soda Finish: a slightly vicious mouthfeel conveys the platform to carry some agave, pepper, and other sweet notes. There is a long lasting bitterness that disturbs the final finish. This anejo is nice and smooth; it’s not big on flavor. There are a number of flavors that stand out, and they have some harmony together, but ultimately the bitterness on the finish and the lack of bold nose/tastes keep this anejo from climbing up the scoreboard.

I got 2 ounces of this in a numbered sample pack and really took my time with it. I didn’t love the aroma at first so I let it to open up for a good 20 minutes. The more I smelled it, the more I enjoyed it. Same with the tasting. It smells and tastes of agave, caramel, cinnamon, oak and baking spices with a little bit of herbs and orange peel if I really look for it. The last few slow sips gave a bit of peach and kindof a coffee leather thing too. Thumbs up.

Light amber for an añejo. Aroma of cooked agave, caramel, oak and a hint of cinnamon. Flavor shows cooked agave, black pepper, caramel, vanilla and oak. Nice long finish. The prices I see online are around $100, so I will factor that into my value rating.

Nose of oak and agave. Barrel influence of caramel and vanilla. Smells of cinnamon and baking spice. The taste is caramel and cooked agave. Also hints of vanilla and oak. The viscosity is a little on the thin side. Overall, a good pour.

Nose: A delightfully rich vanilla with mild citrus and spice. Tropical fruits, mild leather, and cinnamon. Palate: Similar to the nose with sweet vanilla and lemon butteriness. Fantastic undertones of fruit and spice. Little chocolate can be found with some search. A relatively unknown brand with a lot of potential and value to be had.

I went back to this two days in a row. The aroma is really nice-lots of cooked agave shining though the barrel notes of caramel, vanilla and subtle fruit. On the palette, I get a similar experience with maybe a chocolate covered cherry. Nice sipper.
