I really like the nose. Nice agave and butterscotch, oak, vanilla and caramel. Fruity with flowers. On the palate I get cooked agave, pepper, oak, vanilla and caramel. The alcohol does drowned out a lot of the flavors. This is okay but I have others I’d buy over this one.
Fun one to taste. Nice nose although subtle. Cooked agave followed by barrel notes of oak, vanilla and caramel. On the palate there is plenty of cooked agave. I get cinnamon and vanilla. A bit of black pepper. Oak comes through. I also get citrus flavors. The finish is good with mild alcohol at the end. For the price, this is a great value.
Lighter in color than some other reposado's but the favor is there. Cinnamon, vanilla oak and some fruit overtones. Very nice.
Stopped into Cantina La Fuente in GDL. I haven't been here for years and they have really upped their tequila selection. I was surprised I hadn't rated this reposado since the blanco is my home bar mixer and often sipper. Aroma of cooked agave, black pepper, oak and caramel. Still has the classic very light amber from Carlos Camerena. Flavor of cooked agave, black pepper, oak and caramel. Medium finish
Nice clean nose. Light barrel nose. Easy palate
Pure agave bomb here! So much amazing flavor with tons of sweet cooked agave coming from the high proof. A very enjoyable sipper. Nose: tons of cooked agave, black pepper, citrus, vegetal, grass, minerals, cinnamon, and mint. Palate: cooked agave, black pepper, citrus, cinnamon, mint, minerals, vegetal, and jalapeño. Such an amazing high proof with a nice long finish with a depth of aromas and flavors. If you see this grab it.
Aroma/Taste: Aromas of cooked agave with a strong mineral presence, reminiscent of wet cement, accompanied by citrus notes of lime and grapefruit, and hints of pear. The flavor profile features cooked agave, black pepper, lime, with subtle undertones of stonefruit, mint, and anise. Finish: The finish is characterized by a pleasant and lingering black pepper heat at the back of the throat, offering a satisfying warmth that extends throughout the palate. Overall: Tasted blind, this tequila showcases a well-balanced profile, combining robust flavors with a harmonious balance. An enticing choice for further exploration and enjoyment.
