When you think of tequila for college parties and whatnot, that's what this Blanco reminded me of. It smelled like tequila, not agaves. The taste was much better and citrus notes came through clearly but that was about it. I didn't get much agave from smell or taste. I tasted the lineup at total wine and the brand rep made sure to note that it is a total wine brand and also mentioned how it was smooth a lot. It was pretty smooth to drink but tequila is not meant to be smooth.
