NOM 1417 | Wow! What a surprise. It was made in at NOM 1417 and has been stored exceptionally well. Sadly, it is no longer made at this distillery. I'm guessing from the laser coding it was bottled in 2004. The nose is light, but still has a haunting good aroma. The mid palate is super smooth. I mean really nice. The finish starts out hinting to roasted agave, the picks up a little warm heat. Just enough to make you cry because this is your only bottle. This is a gem and a true treasure bottle. I hope you get the he chance to taste it.

NOM 1417 | NOM 1417 If I’m reading the laser etch correctly THVB0104 = Tequila Herencia de Villa Blanco 01 2004 So, that makes this bottle 21 years old. Explains why the cork completely deteriorated when I’ve tried to open it. Had to strain it through cheese cloth & coffee filters. Aromas: Olive Brine, Agave, Citrus, Jalapeño, Pepper Taste: Cooked Agave, Olive Brine, Lactic, Astringent, Citrus, Mineral This tequila definitely took my out of my comfort zone. It taste completely different to most of the tequila I’ve tried lately. But that’s not a bad thing, the flavor is very unique and definitely worth a second & third try. I’m going to let it open up for a while and give it a second taste. Of course, I’ll adjust my rating accordingly. Cheers!
