Copious perlas on pouring. Nose: Fruity, agave up front, flinty minerals, butterscotch and vanilla. Some vague floral notes as well. Flavor: Big butterscotch and black pepper welcome. Medium viscosity, with a bit of bitters. Some heated barrel spices, (cloves and cinnamon), and vanilla open up shortly after. Finish: Not a bad little bargain sipper from Tequila Las Américas, purchased in Tlaquepaque for $340 pesos. The brand is currently listed as not active - maybe the reason why?: https://www.proceso.com.mx/353618/estados-unidos-sanciona-a-empresas-del-grupo-criminal-los-gueros/amp

fairly one dimensional but I really enjoyed the longer finish on this blanco, has a mild heat and a numbing sensation it will save you some cash for a budget level blanco. can sip it or make a great margarita

Aroma: Ripe agave, potting soil, and dark ripe fruit. Flavor: Oily mouth feel. Nuttiness, barrel spice, vanilla, caramel and black pepper. Oak and agave are playing nicely together. Older Mexican bottling. 38% ABV. $350 pesos. Pretty tasty. If I’m not mistaken, this is a brand that was blackballed by the US government for cartel involvement.
