More astringent than the Molino de Piedra when tasted side by side. I would attribute this to the distillation of SS with copper coil vs straight copper. Nice sweetness though and a similar viscosity with a slight metallic tang to the finish.
Nose: Spicy start with freshly cracked pepper, pear, spearmint, lemon/ lime citrus and caramelized agave. Flavor: Sweet agave mingles with brown spices and pepper. Hints of banana, fennel, caraway and caramel. Finish: Long peppery, somewhat dry finish that simultaneously holds some creamy sweetness.
