Some readily discernible flaws and a medicinal note, render this nearly undrinkable.
Tried small store samples of the B,R and A. Aroma: Herbal, earthy citrus. Not an integrated nose. Flavor: Herbal, medicinal. Not my cup of tea. Finish: Odd finish.
In the Añejo I feel like they have finally applied enough oak to balance the flaws of the Blanco. This stuff is good, punching above its weight as far as price goes, still not something I’d collect.
Follows much the same trajectory as the Blanco, the oak is barely detectable which I generally like but in this case more was needed to mask flaws.
Nothing to write home about, not bad to make margs with.
The oak masks some of the flaws found in the previous two expressions. Too sweet for my tastes, and generally not memorable.
