Big brother of the Arrogante, Technico, Rudo tequila familia. Agave and some citrus in the mouth and a nice spicy jalapeno pepper finish.

A sweet scented aroma with vanilla, toasted coconut and fruit (cherry, peach, ???). The flavor is rich and oaky with a nice touch of spice - chocolate, pine and baking spice. The finish is medium-long. A nice, reasonably priced añejo. 06/18/2017 (vertical tasting)

Sharp blast of alcohol on the initial aroma followed by relatively reserved notes of cherry, citrus and some oak. Much more flavorful than the blanco. A nice, sweet bite in the flavor that shows fruit, a fresh agave grassiness and subtle oak. The finish lingers for a moderate time. An enjoyable repo that is a noticeable step up from the blanco. 06/18/2017 (vertical tasting)

Strong aroma of alcohol with mild notes of agave, citrus and saline. The flavor is full of agave with a spicy pepper underlying. Strange, thick aftertaste with a little bitter almond. Finish is moderate. Another middle-of-the-road blanco. There is really nothing to criticize here unless you want to deduct for blandness. Just nothing that stands out. And, if you want to say "oh, it's good for using in a mixed drink" I would suggest a) at the same price point buy a better tequila and improve your mixed drink, or b) if you're just looking to add alcohol to your mixed drink you can buy decent tequila for much less. 06/18/2017 (vertical tasting)

Nice bourbon notes. Slightly sweet finish that never overpowers the taste and flavor.

Same NOM as Rudo, and very similar. And just like Rudo, this is decent and that's all. But this one is higher priced and nothing about it justifies the cost. Interesting packaging.
