Yes it has additives and tastes artificial. However for the money it’s not that bad, I could think of many others that would be worse.

NOM 1142 Aroma is alcoholic and the taste is medicinal. There is some cooked agave though, and the texture is a bit better than the Añejo. 1.75L for $20 isn't bad though.

NOM 1173 Some flavors of caramel and oak, but otherwise overpowered by artificial sweetness. Taste and texture seems very thin and watery, and the finish is short and sweet. That is: short, and sweet like cotton candy. Stay away.
