I think this one is overprice for my licking. $25/ neat at Picante Restaurant. Aroma; cooked agave, anise, wood, spices. Palate; nuts, cinnamon, wood, caramel and roasted vanilla. Finish with agave, cinnamon, sweet tones, oak wood, spices and nuts.
Another NOM 1472 review. Not sure why there are such low reviews for this añejo? Spice and agave along with a good finish make me curious as to what others tasted.
Quite a bit of oak in the aroma for a reposado. A bit of cooked agave and fruit make for a heavy sweetness in the aroma. Flavor is fruit-sweet on entry followed by a cinnamon spice. However, there is a strong bitter aftertaste with a slightly metallic note. The finish is short (which is good because that metallic aftertaste is not pleasant). 12-30-2017
A really nice looking bottle but just an average tequila
