Perfume, almond, orange vitamins
Fruit, caramel, black pepper, cake batter and slight tobacco nose- heavy handed for a repo, but it masks the slight funky aroma present in the blanco. Nice mouthfeel, with rounded barrel notes and lightly astringent, peppery finish. A little too much cake batter if you don’t agitate it- makes me suspicious if it’s real.
Bottle has a 2010 tax sticker. Definitely related to the blanco. The same funky yeast-like properties are present. It also has peach, citrus, vanilla cake batter aromas. Vanilla and cooked agave flavor. Seems a bit heavy for a reposado, and more of what I would expect with an añejo. Pleasant finish and mouthfeel.
Fruity, green agave and black pepper nose with something a little funky- lactic? Nice mouthfeel, but a little too peppery and astringent on the finish for my personal taste. Tastes natural and not too sweet.
Bottle has a 2010 Mexican tax sticker. There’s a green agave and funky yeast aroma. Slight cinnamon and vanilla too. Flavor is pretty basic, not complex, and a bit sweet. Finish is moderate and leaves a lingering sweetness.
Aroma: Pineapple, citrus, anise and a hint of caramel. Dark appearance but very light on oak influence. Flavor: Vanilla, ripe agave, mellow black pepper and light baking spices. In their bio it says XA is added. I am not aware however, that they ever had an XA.
Full rich ripe agave nose. Fruit and spices and ripe berries. Flavors: Cinnamon, hint of cider, vanilla and pepper.
Good intro tequila! Budget friendly
