Dark amber in the glass with thick, oily legs. Aroma of oak and vanilla. Flavor of caramel, oak and a hint of agave. Medium finish.
Mexican 38% abv. versión, lote: DRRAB0423C, bottled on 05-06-2023, tasted on 4-12-24. Aroma: light cooked agave, sweetness that is not from agave, after 20 minutes just like their reposado I smell esencia artificial líquida de maguey azul and I also learned that the aspartame + Ace K has very subtle aromas, which I was mistaken and thought it was aromatic, because I had mixed it together with the esencia artificial líquida de maguey azul the last time. The aspartame + Ace K provides sweetness on the palate. Light acidity, hint of citrus. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, intense fruit sweetness that seems unnatural, however, ends a tad bitter. Finish is medium to mediums long, light cooked agave, hint of agave fibers that unfortunately I cannot tell if is natural, light acidity and light fruity sensation that again, am not sure if natural, persists.
Mexican 38% abv. versión, lote: DRRAR0822, bottled on 23-09-2022, tasted on 4-8-24. Color: yellow to light yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, light acidity, slightly citrus, hint of agave fibers. Thanks to a friend of mine I have been able to smell and taste 2 dozen additives, I can smell a hint of aspartame + Ace-K plus a hint of esencia artificial liquida sabor humo and a hint of esencia artificial liquida maguey azul in this tequila. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, it is quite sweet on the palate of course but ends slightly astringent and slightly dry. Finish is medium, hint of cooked agave, hint of herbaceousness, hint of sweetness but I can’t tell from what, and a hint of vanilla persists but not too long.
Great blanco tequila. Got it directly from the distillery in Tequila Jalisco. For a blanco this is a great sipper.
