Nose: legit, old skool vibes Palate: not complex, but tasty, and very sessionable. Agave waxy texture with notes of black pepper, spices, and dry earth Finish: lingers with consistency and no bitterness.
dec 21, 2023 from Eduardo Beluzian Nose: citrus herbal pepper anise a little mint, a little funk, there's another herb I'm getting on the right nose = thyme? Palate: agave anise mint, a little heat, yeast Finish: medium warm black pepper and agave Nice legs I don't know the cost, so I rated it as "average value"
Finding an affordable additive-free tequila that is good as a mixer as well as a sipper is getting harder every day. I think Güel may be one to consider. The nose is subtle and inoffensive, with mild agave, but not too complex. but once it gets on the palate, the flavors start to come forward, complexity shows up like your best friend at a party, and it lingers well on through the finish. I like the mouth feel as well. Assuming the price point is good (which I think it is; I may go higher than 7 on the value rating once I know for sure), this is definitely one to check out.
