got this bottle for $20 and figured what the heck... give it a try.. The nose isn't bad at all. get a grassy vegetal nose with some barrel influence included like vanilla and a little caramel went in for a sip and you can definitely taste the barrel. agave sweetness hits you first followed by light vanilla and a hint of caramel then finished with the oaky bitterness and heat. this thing does have some heat and I'm not against that at all. overall it's a pretty average reposado. if you can get it for a good price, go for it. it's not bad as a sipper and I am guessing would taste good in a poloma or Margarita.

MX bottle. Tasted in a double shot glass. Decent aroma and flavor. Vegetal and a bite of agave without a huge amount of wood. Good finish but not overly smooth or flavorful. 35% alcohol might have helped the tasting.

An Anejo for 35$ in a quirky bottle is usually a hard pass for me but I was looking for something new. The aroma was interesting, sweet almost blueberry scent. The initial tasting wasn’t great, a lot of burn covered up any detection of flavors, but after a couple days of being open that calmed down a lot and some of the sweetness on the nose came back. My recommendation is to let this one sit after opening it took a fair tequila to a decent one.
