some cooked agave, unnatural sweetness, soapy. Had a $70+ price tag. way overpriced for what it is. for those reasons, I can't recommend it and would not drink again
Smooth, balanced and delicious. It has a white chocolate and almond thing going on, very unique and pleasant.
This does very little for me. To be honest, I was gifted this over a year ago.. got lost in the back of the bar. Has the standard autoclave aroma, not a lot for the nose. Palate is very dry, little agave with some anise and pepper. Finish is very short. I’ve seen this on the shelf before and cannot believe they charge $65-$75 for this!
I gotta say, not bad. Autoclave cooked products aren’t always my fav, but this one did pretty well when consumed very cold. Room temperature was a little less tasty, but put it in the freezer for 20 minutes and it really opened up for me. Smooth, smooth, smooth. That’s the best way to describe it. It kills the finish a bit so I think it could stand to be a little less proofed down ( which would make it less smooth, I know), but absolutely no harshness at all. I could sip it all day and be fairly happy. Nothing in the taste really jumps out at me but I get notes of agave and a little white pepper and some citrus maybe. It’s gotta nice little spicy pop in the back of the mouth as it goes down that I really enjoyed. That said, there are other brands that I’d go for before this one, but not bad at all. I think it’s a tad over priced though. If it were $10 - $13 less I’d always have it on the shelf. So I could buy it again…. If I see it on sale.
Forget Cristalinos and embrace some real agave innovation.
