Nose is not super vibrant or dynamic, but embraces many subtle nuances and inflections. It is floral and fruity: mango, honeydew melon, and pineapple/citrus. There is very light pepper and a caramel or butterscotch undertone. It also carries a slight tingle to the nose. Flavor: A little light on body and mouth feel. Pleasant honey laced with cinnamon sweetness; also vanilla, caramel and barrel spice. Nice pepper heat as a counter point. Mexican release with 2013 tax stamp. Note: The price on this tequila, was $125 pesos or less than $7 US. My rating probably picked up 6 or 7 points based entirely on the “value” and the “recommend” evaluators in the app. But still surprisingly decent!
Rated blind. Has a nice aroma to it, some cooked agave, raisin, oak. A little heavier in flavor than most reposados. Not a bad sipper.
Old foil label bottle with real cork. Light aroma of cooked agave & raisin. Taste follows suit with light barrel notes and honey in the distant background. slightly sour finish but in a good way.
Good
Nose: Fruity and floral. Light colored tree fruit?Aroma of vanilla and trace cinnamon and pepper. Flavor: Cinnamon graham crackers, with a dusting of spicy pepper. Fairly sweet with some bitter notes. Bargain brand (perhaps) worthy for mixing.
