De-Nada Repo Nose is very pleasing. Baking spices, agave, vanilla, fruit, some tropical notes - banana, mild oak Palate fizzy, sweet agave, brown sugar, caramel, mild pepper Finish is sweet and warm. thanks to Matt C for sending me the sample!
Beautiful nose of agave, oak, caramel and vanilla. Dried fruit. Cherry and flowers The taste is sweet agave followed by oak. We have vanilla and caramel. I have pepper and a touch of hay. The finish is pleasant with slightly thin mouthfeel. It is lasting with final notes of pepper and a touch of alcohol. This is a very nice repo.
Nose: agave sweet / earth / hint of pear / hay Taste: sweet agave / pepper / cinnamon/ banana / apple / lime/ anise / lemongrass/ spearmint/ orange blossom Finish: very water wet / clean crisp ‘cool water’ effect / a touch of bitter on the middle of the taste that dissipates quickly to leave a mild sweetness behind. This blanco has solid flavors and a super nice finish. The sweetness is enjoyable and not overwhelming, even though it’s the predominant part of the experience.
Nose: sweet agave cooked / caramel/ butter / melon / cherry / grapefruit / hint of lemongrass / tea / hint of nutmeg and baking spices / butterscotch/ hint of molasses/ hazelnut Taste: sweet agave cooked / caramel / vanilla/ cinnamon and pepper / oak / banana/ melon / lime / grapefruit/ lemongrass/ tea / peppermint/ nutmeg/ molasses Finish: crisp clean water feel / a touch of viscosity / lingering sweet and pepper notes. A slight bittersweet lingering taste. This reposado has a lot of agave and vanilla to challenge the mild pepper notes. Just a hint of cinnamon rounds out the peppermint like finish and leaves an interesting bittersweet taste on the final swallow. This is another very nice tequila from NOM 1414 / Sergio Cruz.
Not overly complex but really good. Nice mineral taste with anise and mint flavors. Reasonably priced as well.
Absolutely love the nose. I get a face full of cooked agave along with earthy tones and mint. I am getting cinnamon and citrus. Taste is agave and black pepper. It is earthy with a touch of olive. There is a bit of alcohol burn on the finish. The taste is fairly complex but the alcohol is overpowering some of these flavors. I think this is another great tequila from 1414. I prefer Siempre but this one is very good for the price.
There is a dispute in the tequila over the right to certify and label tequila as additive free—but the small brands producing it are bearing the brunt of the fallout
The aroma opens with a vibrant cooked agave, a mineral freshness, and a touch of mint that enlivens the profile. Subtle notes of black licorice and light yeast emerge, followed by a hint of gently roasted nuttiness. On the palate, a soft minerality gives way to sweet citrus zest and a refreshing water-like clarity. Vegetal layers blend with light bell pepper and a delicate almond nuttiness, accented by faint whispers of rose and honeysuckle for a refined floral hint. The finish lingers with fading mint and cooked agave, concluding with a bright, zesty citrus trail. A refreshingly delicious and extraordinarily easy to drink Blanco.
