NOM - 1610 A fair bit of citrus on the aroma, as well as some earthy herbal notes, decent overall if a bit standard. Thin and light on the palate, quite a bit of citrus, some black pepper bitterness, and some alcohol heat. The finish leaves behind the same profile as the flavor, with lingering herbal notes. The reviews lead me to believe there may be some inconsistencies from batch to batch, the sample I tried was quite decent, a solid sub-$35 option for a skinny margarita.
Clase Azul sweet. Obviously additives beyond comprehension
As the fastest growing spirit in the U.S., tequila has overcome its bad rap as the cheap, college hangover culprit, while simultaneously breaking into a fixated market, where vodka and whiskey previously reigned. What propelled this shift?
On the aroma, a lot of cinnamon, vanilla, and caramel, to the point that it all but overwhelms any other smells. The flavor seems overly sweet, with a stronger hit of vanilla and a whole cinnamon stick, which extends itself into a candy apple level of sweetness. Skip this one.
