Still too sweet but the oak cancels out the bad smell from the yeast. It’s good.
This loses some points because I can’t abide the yeast that cofradia uses but this is a really tasty tequila. Far too sweet to be considered balanced but ideal for new tequila drinkers.
Pretty good considering my instincts to give everything Cofradia a -25. I don’t taste that overwhelming yeast and the barrel provides some welcome roundness.
Not earth shattering stuff, you can smell that Cofradia yeast a mile away but they have done a solid job of making a well tequila. This is punchy and I don’t recommend sipping but it’s tough to beat 100% agave for this cheap!
Smoky as hell Caramel Oak Liquor forward
I love this stuff, it’s dirt cheap and brings the same smile to your face that a $50 XA does. Crack an ice cold beer and have a couple fingers of this on the side.
