Tasted yet again on September 21, 2022. A presentation at our Tequila Club. At 35% this is just a little too subtle and flabby. They perceive their market competitors as Clase Azul and Casa Dragones. They could be much better than this. Pretty bottle and good storyline.
Nose: Cinnamon, light pepper, a touch of vanilla. Sweet, nearly caramelized agave aromas. Light potting soil note. Flavor: Very oily and silky. Maybe some added glycerin? More pepper presence than the aroma belies. Agave forward for a 35% ABV. A tiny bit soft. Finish still holds some nice spicy elements. It’s ok, but holds no “wow” factors for me.
Courtesy of Senior Rick. Not the best effort from NOM 1535, this is fairly bitter with not much of a finish.
