The Blanco is Sooo much better than the repo here. Go drink that instead!
Another great find while in Las Vegas. Tobacco and green olive brine on the nose. Buttery and peppery at the same time.
Aroma: Strong notes of vanilla and cherry. There is also a slight hint of oak on the back end. Almost seems more like an Añejo than a Reposado. Flavor: A little peppery upfront but very smooth. The overwhelming note is vanilla and then it's complimented by hints of oak and caramel.
Aroma: This one has a very complex aroma. I get a slight hint of agave and grass giving it that earthy tone. I also get olive and apple which gives it a nice salty/sweet balance. Flavor: Very earthy. I get the agave and grass notes right upfront with a hint of clay and a little bite of pepper. I also get that saltiness from the aroma but it's not exactly olive.
Aroma of banana and vanilla. Maybe hints of cinnamon and vanilla. Flavor of banana and cinnamon with some mice spice. The finish is long, warm and stays with you. Was expecting much less from this repo and actually do enjoy it.
First off, the packaging/bottle is cool and unique - the coffin-shaped bottle and skull on the stopper. the agave mohawk on the skull is a bit much though. Aroma of grass, olive, agave and mint. All very subtle. Immediate pepper/fire on tasting but blends to herbaceous, minty taste. Finish is long and lasting.
