The nose starts out nice the agave comes out and good floral notes. What you find in highland tequilas. The flavor (body) and finish is very disappointing. Just not much there.
This tequila was bottled in 1998. I had great expectations as it was recommended by a person I respect in the Tequila industry. Sadly, it did not meet my expectations. I purchased it in Mexico for about $16.
Mexican 38% abv. version, no lot code but marbete is aprox. from year 2000, tasted on 10-9-24. Color: yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, hint of acidity, light pineapple, light soapy aroma, hint of citrus with a hint of sourness, hint of earthiness. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, pineapple with light soapy aroma through my retronasal. Finish is medium to almost medium long, hint of sweet cooked agave, light soapy aroma with light citrus notes persist.
Veery smooth for the money.
