Bottle has a 2012 Mexican tax sticker on it, so this is old stuff. It has a green, creamy, vegetal aroma that isn’t found in many tequilas today. Flavor has lots of cooked agave and slight vanilla. Mouth feel is moderately oily. Finish is short and clean.
Mexican 38% abv. versión, bottle is flat triangle shaped, marbete is aprox. from year 2001. Tasted on 10-11-23. Aroma: sweet cooked agave, anise, light resinous sweetness, fresh & crisp, a touch of citrus. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, agave note is sweeter and more aromatic in the mouth, good sweet sour and citrus balance. Finish is medium to long, sweet cooked agave with anise and a touch of citrus note persists.
View: a crystal clear tequila, clean and transparent, silver tones and reflections, low body tequila. In nose, fresh agave is the first impact, good aroma! Presents laurel, anis and citrus aromas, and a little note of baking soda. In mouth, is smooth and the flavor of fresh agave is present, has a pleasant mineral flavor with a little astringent in mouth, in the back taste has black peeper flavor and citrus flavors. Good choice, highly recommendable.
This Tequila was a surprise, good flavor, good aroma and finish in your mouth. Raw agave is present in the flavor and aroma, orange peel and caramel flavor, black pepper is present. A good option as mixer.
