Another good example people making tequila who should probably be making bourbon.....smells, tastes and finishes with elevated sweetness and American oak spice....it’s pretty good(for a bourbon).
Some hints of agave on the nose but really not a lot going on there. Peaks really fast on mid palette, boozy hit with bitter ending, I actually recommend shooting this if encountered.
Smells like agave, tastes like agave, it’s agave!!!! Pretty good effort, the aftertaste is amazing, seems to go on for ever!
Much more refined than the repo(no surprise) and has a lighter footprint than the Añejo(surprising), I’d slot it between the two of you’re trying the entire lineup. Oak is definitely driving the bus but it’s soft and elegant in places, makes me wonder what went wrong with the repo?!
