Light amber color in the glass. Aroma of cooked agave and minerals. Flavor of cooked agave, caramel and barrel spice. Must be from the French oak barrel. Medium finish.
Clear with nice oily legs in the glass. Aroma of cooked agave and minerals. Flavor of cooked agave and citrus. Medium finish.
Smells amazing, too bad it hits me with all that sweetness and ruins the amazing foundation of the regular Extra Añejo. Nice finish, don’t be out off by my comments, this will likely be up most people’s alley.
This juice has definitely found its sweet spot in the XA category, this shit is delicious! Agave can be found around every corner, some subtle sweetness and spice from the barrel fit in perfectly. This really is a great XA, subtle, that’s hard to find these days.
Seems like we are back on track after a bit of a disappointing Reposado. Agave flavour has come back with a vengeance, nice oaky aftertaste with a turbocharged hit of heat that comes out after you’ve put the glass down. A good añejo.
Didn’t love this one, I was expecting a natural progression from the Blanco but the taste was a bit hollow. I’m not detecting additives but there is something odd going on with the flavour, take this review with a huge grain of salt, I’m sampling out of a 50ml bottle.
