Oily and citrusy with a touch of lemon. The The flavors run deep on this one.
Easily the most aromatic of the releases, the aroma of cooked agave filled the air from the moment the cork was removed. Poured into a Glencairn and l was enveloped in the aromas of El Pandillo before taking a sip. On sipping this is thick and oily in the mouth with great natural viscosity and a ton of baked agave on the palate. A long lingering finish from the 45% ABV rounds out the experience.
Agave and some black pepper on the nose. Spicy on the palate, with the agave strongly forward. Longer finish due to the higher proof with more black pepper flavor. Overall, I think the repo is a little better, but this is an amazing blanco.
Absolutely spectacularly delicious. A little less grassy and earthy than the standard G4 Blanco (probably still my favorite tequila) but a little sweeter with wonderful white chocolate notes and exactly zero alcohol burn. What an elixir. Been getting this for $65 so value is 9/10
Nice aroma with lots of agave. Nice smooth flavor with subtle sweetness and spice. Strong finish with lingering alcohol with the higher proof.
This is one of my favorite G4 tequilas. An absolute masterpiece.
Aroma: Sweet agave, black pepper, spices, minerals. Taste: Sweet sweet agave, pepper, citrus, apple & cinnamon, spices. Finish: long lasting with agave, minerals & grass Cost $65 Great premium blanco at a reasonable price. A top 5 blanco for me.
Nose: Agave, Herbs, Citrus, Mint, Grass Palate: Grass, Anise, Agave Finish: Herbaceous, Minerality, Black Pepper, Fennel
Agave bomb. sweet, cooked agave is heavy on the nose and palate. delicious and unobscured. some earthiness as it reaches the back of the tongue and throat, but otherwise not a ton of complexity or nuance. that ultra pure agave is compelling enough, though. a little heat rises to create a very pleasant and mid-long finish. really really nice.
A lot of cooked agave on the nose. Super sweet taste, a little citrusy.
Here’s a rewritten version of the text: Aroma: Sweet cooked agave with a slightly a touch of acidity, almost resembling light sourness. Subtle notes of aromatic herbs are present. After few minutes in the glass, the sour sensation fades, giving way to emerging citrus notes, while the agave profile becomes sweeter. Hints of pepper spice and earthy undertones add complexity. Palate: Reflects the aromas with a balanced interplay of sweet, sour, and citrus elements, complemented by a hint of lemon peel. Finish: Long and satisfying, showcasing sweet cooked agave, delicate citrus nuances, and a persistent earthy note.
Lot 4! Second lot to release in 2024 due to the expansion of wood tinas at El Pandillo. This one reminds me of Lot 1. Sweet cooked agave, crisp pine, minerality, notes of black pepper and some vegetal notes as well.
It’s fantastic, just like the other lots! Most people won’t be able to tell the difference between them! If u find it in the wild near MSRP, definitely buy it! Strong agave, citrus, mint, earthy, grassy goodness! Medium/long finish! Love everything El Pandillo produces! Bought in Orlando for $67.99
Lote: LG0004B45ME, bottled on 10/10/2024, tasted on 12-7-24. In general lot 4 is quite similar to lot 3, lot 4 is a tad sweeter, but it would be quite challenging for me to tell them apart in a blind tasting, they are similar enough for me, therefore I re post my notes for lot 3: Aroma: sweet cooked agave, slightly herbaceous, acidity almost to the level of light sourness, light aromatic herbs, after 20 minutes in the glass the light sour sensation dissipates and light citrus notes emerge and the agave note becomes sweeter! Hint of pepper spiciness & hint of earth. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and citrus balance, hint of lemon peel. Finish is long, light sweet cooked agave, light citrus with a hint of earthy aroma persists.
