Very nice Anejo, sweet cooked agave, spice, vanilla, caramel and light butterscotch, a. Good price point also
This is an absolutely amazing anejo. Love the influence that the French oak plays on this one. The agave is still front and center with great barrel notes. Nose: cooked agave, caramel, vanilla, butterscotch, oak, baking spice, and maple. Palate: cooked agave, caramel, butterscotch, chocolate, oak, maple, and nutmeg. A very nice buttery mouth feel with a medium finish. Absolutely love this anejo.
The nose on this anejo was my favorite part. Bright caramel, stewed fruits, cinnamon, and vanilla. The palate followed suit, but wasn’t as intense as the nose had suggested and the finish was mid range. In the past I’ve felt that Alma Del Jaguar’s aged options have been too austere & overoaked. The Anejo follows suit, but the flavors presented are far more balanced than the Reposado.
Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Butterscotch, Agave, Vanilla, Maple, Hazelnut, Oak (faint) Body: Medium Palate: Carmel, Cream Soda, Vanilla, Oak Finish: Carmel, Almond, Vanilla
Nose: cooked agave, honey, ripe red fruit, light oak, caramel and sweet cinnamon Flavor: cooked agave, barrel notes, cinnamon, earthy, very soft mouthfeel, and olive brine in the background Finish: medium that starts out sweet and moves to white pepper Note: this definitely a food friendly tequila
Light Anejo with sweet barrel notes. Vanilla, cinnamon and honey. Caramel. On the palate I get nice sweet agave, vanilla, cinnamon and caramel. Very nice finish.
Aroma: Red fruit- plum, cherry, some grape. Baking spice, honey, a little agave. Love it. Flavor: baking spice, baked apple, pear, honey, saline, oak, cooked agave. The French oak really comes through. Mouth feel is very soft and on the watery side. Finish lingers just the right amount of time and there’s no burn.
Very good anejo with top marks for value.
Nose is nice with vanilla caramel agave Taste adds same with cooking spices. Medium Finish is oaky sweet caramel. Long
Sweet aroma almost like brandy. Very smooth and sweet. Weak finish with just a hint of spice. Has an almost burnt syrupy taste.
really nice Añejo lots of cooked agave on the nose along with vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, ethanol the palate follows suit with a boatload of agave present amidst the barrel flavors. a little bit of alcohol burn on the finish which I expect will be tempered as the bottle opens up long finish of caramel, oak and a soft bitterness thatk gets for quite a while
Lote AJANE4191 09/11/24 Aroma: light aroma of honey, vanilla caramel, and agave Flavor: sweet toffee to add to the flavors that match the aroma with somealmost melon and a touch of baking spice Mouthfeel: medium body and almost no alcohol burn, very smooth! Finish: long lingering sweetness finish that is extremely pleasant Color: golden light honey
Caramel and vanilla on the nose. Caramel, agave, and a little cinnamon on the front end taste. Barrel comes through nicely on the back end with a soft finish
Delicious, the finish is phenomenal.
Oak, Vanilla, chocolate, Caramel, with an earthy undertone.
Nose is cooked agave, caramel, vanilla and maple. Taste is caramel, oak and maple. The glass was a Chisholm Standard Proof Jarrito.
9/11/24 Nose: Vanilla, caramel, candied fruit, cooked agave, stone Taste: cooked agave, smoke, caramel, barrel spice, stone minerality Finish: smoke, oak, butterscotch, barrel spice Great example of a well aged and blended anejo. You can really taste each of the 3 components especially in the finish as they
This is one of my favorite Anejo’s. You can tell that there is an amazing blanco in this bottle. The agave is to star of the show.
Another tasty tequila from 1414! The nose has honey, caramel, oak and agave. The taste is similar. Still has agave up front followed by the barrel notes and spices with caramel, vanilla and even some citrus. Nice buttery long finish. Better than the repo for me. Very well priced and extra points at $70 in IL.
Great nose and even better taste. Many sweet flavors including butterscotch, maple and baking spice. Even a bit of citrus, but the agave is not overwhelmed. Slightly better than the Repo, which is a bargain as well. Medium finish with slight burn. Nicely done.
This is an unreal tequila. It has a really soft, velvety, almost pillowy mouthfeel. Smells like vanilla, tastes like cream soda, and has a really nice finish. Overall, outstanding.
Tasted in Brandy Snifter Aromas: Barrel notes of Oak, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Chocolate, Vanilla, Caramel, and Orange Peel. Buttered Popcorn, Agave, Earth, Banana Bread, Roasted Chestnuts, dark Honey, and cooked Sweet Potato. Taste:Agave, Spicy Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Oak, Vanilla, Caramel, Dulce de Luche, Agave, Banana Bread with Nuts, Earth, Honey, Roasted Chestnuts, Orange Peel and Leather. Finish: Very nice long continuation of the Barrel Notes with Spicy Agave.
Complex oaky notes Cooked agave Citrus Black pepper
This is everything I was hoping for…it’s amazing. This Anejo is one of my favorites. The aroma is caramel- vanilla and wonderful barrel notes- amazing. On the palate the enjoyment continues… light spice- wet agave and earthy with caramel- vanilla- and herbal undertones. Very light pepper and the silkiness of the agave lingers. It is an amazing tequila- great job!

Quality anejo with lots of caramel, vanilla and baking spice. There's also a strong maple flavor. Comes down to preference. I'm not a big fan of the maple but someone else may be.
