Aroma/Taste: The scent is dominated by petrichor minerality and wet cement, with underlying notes of cooked agave, lime, and cherry. On the palate, the taste features cooked agave, refreshing mint, and a noticeable white pepper heat on the tongue. Finish: The finish is sweet and relatively brief, but there's a subtle cheesy funk on the back end that I really enjoy. Overall: When tasted blind, this tequila stands out as very good. However, after sampling five tequilas in this blind tasting, I find that four of them are nearly identical.

Tasted blind for TMM. Distinct strong aroma something like vinegar. Tart flavors that taste better than it smells. Long lingering finish.

TMM Blind Tasting: 2025 The aroma presents a strong briny tone upfront, followed by a vegetal mix reminiscent of oregano and olive, cut grass, a mild lactic quality, and a noticeable ethyl sharpness. On the palate, bold anise and peppermint lead the way, joined by cocoa and a continued lactic note. A subtle thread of vanilla emerges mid-palate, with a delicate fruity tone, peach-like, appearing softly at the back. The finish is light, with fading notes of peach and a gentle, spicy ethyl warmth that lingers briefly.

From TMM Blind Panel: On the nose: there’s a weird funk to it, doesn’t smell like agave at all, butter, olive, marshmallow but not sweet Flavor: heavy cinnamon and heat, butter, grass, but it’s just not pleasant. Doesn’t taste like it has additives, but doesn’t taste like tequila. Pallet is short. It just kind of falls away. Overall, I wouldn’t drink again. Doesn’t remind me of tequilas or agave.

Strong alcohol and funkiness in the aroma. No agave detected. It tastes, bitter and like it has additives.

Vegetal nose with some ethanol. A flood of flavor in the mouth with cinnamon red hots, roast agave, nice oily viscosity. This has a nice tingly finish with bitter undertones.

Vessel: CT HP Nose: Hay, Raisin, Must, Yeast, Ammonia Tobacco Mildew, Raw or Undercooked Agave Palate: Mustard Seed, Anise, Asparagus, Mint Finish: Lime, Anise, Mushroom, Cooked Agave This one didn't do much for me. It had a certain type of earthy, musty funk that I have experienced before and am simply not the biggest fan of. Based on the nose, the palate and finish were more enjoyable than expected, but this flavor profile just doesn't jive well with me. This reminds me a lot of the 1584 Pasote blanco.

This is made at Tepozan, they are very capable of making solid tequila. To me, the profile has this very green almost sour profile. Not sure I’m looking to sip on this but at 48%, made well, and around $50 it’s something I’d recommend.

I bought the 200 ml just to try it. I was pleasantly surprised by the agave sweetness. As a value high proof it would be perfect for cocktails. I infused pineapple in it & loved it.

Lote 1MD Aroma: agave, vegetal, fusil alcohol with slight blue cheese, and a little smoke and alcohol tingle Flavor: stewed agave sweetness with some peppery spice and light smoke Mouthfeel: medium bodied with a little alcohol burn Finish: finishes sweet with vegetal lingering that I sensed on the nose Color: clear This is clearly a tequila for lovers of mezcal. It reminds me of a mellow raicilla. It's good, just not a typical tequila.

Very similar flavor profile to Pasote that feels "fuller" at the 48%. Great value for an HP.

Earthy, almost mushrooms. Dark rich cooked agave. Non existent alcohol. Pleasant sweetness on nose.
