Aroma: cooked agave, earthy, cinnamon, pepper, cherry, herbal, oak, caramel, grassy. Flavor: cooked agave, herbal, caramel, oak, olive, cherry, butter. Tasted at Ava's in Kenilworth NJ
Campo: El Cerrito 23, edición 001, LOTE 40RAL01, tasted on 9-20-24. Color: light yellow. Aroma: raw agave, slightly herbaceous, hint of vanilla, acidity, light citrus, light earthiness, hint of lemon, light orange, light minerality, hint of sourness. After 20 minutes in the glass light wood note emerges. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, light herbal & mineral notes just like their 48% abv. version, the aromas and flavors are quite similar to the recent productions of tequila Cabal in NOM1480. Finish is medium to medium long, light raw agave, citrus, light lemon and orange, light earthiness, herbaceous & mineral notes persist. Ends a tad bitter.
