Nose: agave / vanilla/ cinnamon-pepper/ hint of melon / lime / tea / baking spice / hint of chocolate/ hint of molasses/ maple / cream soda / Taste: agave cooked sweet / vanilla/ pepper/ banana/ apple/ melon/ grapefruit/ anise / lemongrass / tea Finish: sweet cooked agave and spicy pepper-cinnamon prevail through the whole taste with a slightly viscous mouthfeel. This single rum cask reposado has some very tasty sweet and spicy and rum barrel flavors that give plenty of palate notes that linger all through the finish. Very nice expression from NOM 1414 and Sergio Cruz.
Single Rum Cask 3 Rested 2024 Aroma: agave with dried stone fruit like apricot with a hint of caramel and spice Flavor: more caramel and dried fruit in the flavor very deep and rich with dark brown sugar sweetness Mouthfeel: medium to big body eith very little alcohol burn Finish: long lingering sweetness with dried fruit Color: very light straw
Vanilla, tropical notes very pleasant ripe banana. Peppery , needs a little time to open up. Different on the palate Champagne yeast , rum barrels coming thru , solid agave, very fruity, minarilty, finish is solid but not overwhelming, nice legs. Have to revisit this again, only going to get better
#7
Another great hit from Sergio Cruz! Solid agave flavor with an extra layer of tropical from the rum cask aging. Definitely must try this one!
Cask #9 This is very nice I’ve been waiting a while to find this one locally. The agave and the aging in the rum cask just makes for so many fruity and floral/mineral notes lingering. I definitely like it more than the blanco from them. I would absolutely buy this again
Light lemon gold color. nice slow legs. nose of tropical fruit. agave and brown sugar. tast, pineapple, lemon, cooked agave. brown sugar which I am assuming is coming from the rum barrels and a very little wood. barrel 8, bottle 34. fantastic repo. makes me imagine I am on the beach in the summertime. love it!
Agave Light and fruity Tropical Vanilla
Very nice reposado. This is barrel #11 from Sip Tequila. This is the traditional repo and the aroma and taste profile did come across as more of a traditional reposado. On the nose it was agave with some oak and vanilla. Picked up on some fruity notes. The barrel comes through on taste…vanilla and oak but the agave is not lost. This is a great sipper. Definitely has a different profile than the Tropical Edition.
Lots of hype on this one. Barrel 13 is good but not exceptional in my opinion. I get cooked agave, vanilla, coconut, quick taste of banana & some tropical fruit then light butter. To be exceptional it should be higher abv. & be able to carry flavor. I gave it an 88 because a 90 should actually be exceptional.
Bottle: Cask 11, Bottle 73, Sip Tequila Pick, YEYOREP2457 CASK 11 123 Appearance: Golden hay Nose: Cooked agave, vanilla cream soda, brown sugar, cinnamon, honey, butter, baking spice, minerality, banana, toasted bread, white pepper, nutmeg, tropical fruits, papaya, guava, citrus, lime, and light smoke…a superb start Palate: Cooked agave, molasses, raisin, nutmeg, vanilla, baking spice, banana, butter, toasted bread, alcohol, citrus, grapefruit, oak, clove, crème brûlée, barrel spice, black and white pepper, almond, and anise…a suitable evolution, putting the unique aging on display Finish: Cooked agave, cinnamon, dry earth, molasses, baking and barrel spices, and oak…medium-length finish with good viscosity Overall: This reposado hits all the right notes…the agave is right up front, yet remains present throughout. The aging brings out some sweet, citrus, wood, and toasted notes at various points and provides a rich, nuanced, and balanced experience. I had been expecting a little more uniqueness from the rum barrel aging, but was impressed enough with the entire experience that I only mention it now for the sake of thoroughness.
I'm sure this is a strange description, but I'm getting a banana pudding with Caramel drizzle vibe. Very sweet, I get cinnamon, agave, caramel, and banana. If the nose were to make a statement, it would say "lighten up a bit." This was such an easy sip and had a fantastic, light finish. Nose: Banana, Butterscotch, Vanilla, Carmel, Cinnamon, Cream Mouthfeel: Palate: Cinnamon, Banana, Black Pepper Finish: Some Clove, Cinnamon, Black Pepper and banana
I love this one! There are so many flavors I don’t normally get in a tequila. Pineapple coconut so good. This may be my favorite repo!
Aromas: agave, papayas, teopial fruits, pepper Taste: agave, fruits, pepper, sweet Finish: is so nice and no burn.
Barrel 1 from SF Tequila Shop
carmel, aged in rum barrel, rested 2024 Old Town Tequila Cask 3 special
I had barrel 11 (Traditional) and 13 (Tropical) from Sip Tequila. The tasting notes I had for the two barrels are the opposite of what I thought it was going to be. The 11 was creamy, buttery, vanilla, baking spices, and toasted coconut. However,(comma) the traditional barrel gave more earthy, mineral, orange zest, and more agave. I favored the tropical pick for North Carolinas 2 barrels but we are still waiting on it.
So this one surprised me. Used to the Yeyo Blanco, and the amazing citrusy flavor, the aroma is very similar but the flavor is completely different. The rum barrel aging is extremely subtle. Picked up more on the nose than the tongue. And I got a bit of an astringent feel in my initial tasting. Not negative, just noticeable. Once in the mouth I get a bit of sweetness, agave is definitely there, up front, then I get an almost pineapple as it dissipates with a mild cooked agave flavor in the finish. Extremely smooth, and that finish flavor lingers pleasantly on the pallette. Very well balanced. Love this one.
traditional barrel #11
Traditional Barrels #2 and 3.
Barrel 11
Barrel #3 Compared to 2023 yeyo reposado, this tastes more like your standard reposado. The rum influence is much more subtle compared to last year’s edition.
This is totally amazing. I have never had a tequila that is like this one- wow. Aroma is fresh cut agave- a light fruit…maybe banana and the smell of fresh dew on a palm tree. The palate is the most amazing- golly- wet agave with the flavors of a hundred agave fibers, a velvety smoothness like no other- it’s thick- and is almost pure agave and then towards the end a peppery tropical wetness- this is delicious- words cannot explain how incredible this is. The finish is one that begs for the whole experience again- has me seeing myself laying in an agave field with a tropical rain pouring down.

Beautiful nose. Agave and banana. Nice fruity aromas. I get a bit of cream soda. This was barrel 11
