Beautiful bottle, confirmed additive free, a good price, under $50, makes a nice gift. Light cooked agave, herbal, light citrus. Over all not too bad. Short finish.

This kosher blanco is part of the additive-free alliance. I’ve seen Asombroso tequila bottles since I’ve been sipping tequila and writing tasting notes. I’ve read reviews but I never sampled or purchased a bottle because of the sweet profiles. I’m lucky enough to have received this bottle so let’s dig in. The nose is light but clean. It has an herbal quality along with some light agave, mint, minerality, and white pepper. There are some celery and faint alcohol vapors too. The taste is bolder than the nose. There’s some natural sweetness that hits on the front of the palate. The cooked agave hits as does some honeysuckle, dry minerals, cinnamon and herbs. The finish is clean white pepper with just a hint of vegetalness and maybe a drop or two of citrus. It lingers nicely. Overall this tequila is a good sipper for those that prefer a sweet and slightly spicy blanco. The finish is my favorite part. This is a good bottle to gift to your new tequila-drinking friends because it’s a unique design but the juice inside is actually worth the price.

Something seems very off to me. Great price for a pretty bottle though.

AsomBroso Silver Eros June 21 neck pour/ revisited July 3... Nose: grassy herbal minerality mild agave cinnamon some citrus pepper yeast mint Palate: agave pepper some heat some vanilla Finish: short Overall: It's not too complex, but an easy sipper, quality-made and additive-free. (I believe it's the first time this brand has made an additive-free expression. Kudos to AsomBroso for this!) Reasonably-priced around $50, not a bad deal with the cool, sexy bottle. I recommend giving this one a try!

Herbal, mineral, citrus nose. Tastes mineral and earthy to start, then finishes cream soda sweet with a little salt. Not too complex but an easy drinker with some mineral notes. Nice tears. Really appreciate that they’ve gone additive free with this one. Not overpriced despite the “unique” bottle.

Aroma: one of the most unique aromas I’ve experienced. A lot of rosemary, aloe, and spearmint. There’s a vegetal/raw agave note in there too. Flavor: herbal notes that i don’t think I’ve ever experienced before in tequila. There’s some cooked agave and minerality but also an eucalyptus flavor that I can’t recall experiencing before.

Agave forward with some hints of citrus on the nose. On the palate, I get raw agave, along with a more bitter citrus like grapefruit, little spice, and zest. Not a long finish and not that much body to it. It comes and goes, but the flavor is nice

It’s Sunday! Sipping Sunday!! Happy National Whipped Cream Day!!! Tonight’s pour comes from NOM 1424 Destiladora de Agave Azul, Asombroso Eros Reposado. This newly released Reposado, like the Eros Blanco are both Additive Free. The Brand was founded by Ricardo Gamarra. An entrepreneur that had previously formed various businesses in the Creative Arts Industry. In May of 2002 Ricardo formed Asombroso and began to focus on building what he considers a bona fide Ultra-Premium Tequila. Ricardo had a focus to make unique Tequila! He imported French Oak Bordeaux Barrels to offer something different from what many distilleries were doing. He wanted to push away from the use of American Oak Barrels that were previously used in Whiskey production. Another aspect that Ricardo put thought into was the design of his bottles. Napoleon Bonaparte, in moments of triumph would bestow Decanters as prestigious gifts of recognition upon his most esteemed warriors. Ricardo was inspired by an 18th century decanter that he had found in a European Castle. His bottles are handmade to pay homage to the Decanter he had found and took over 2 years with renowned artist Luciano Gambaro in Murano, Italy to complete. The bottle is also embossed with the letter A inside the center of the sun. These bottles are a work of art! Asombroso begins in the Valley Fields where mature Blue Weber Agaves are harvested. Agaves are then cooked in traditional Stone/Brick Ovens and cooled before being macerated by Roller Mills. Deep well water is added during this process before Fermentation. Fermentation is done in Stainless Steel Tanks with Champagne Yeasts. The Fermentation is done without fibers and with Closed Tanks. It is then Distilled twice in Stainless Steel Pot Stills with Copper Coils. The finished Tequila is distilled at or near proof. The ABV is 40%. It is then rested in French Oak Barrels for 9 months. And again, without additives. Aroma: Oak and Agave lead the charge. This is a great thing! There is not a hint of “Cake Batter” that can be associated with additive laden brands, so very nice to not have that here! Vanilla, Dark Honey, and Caramel do offer some sweeter notes. A light Candied Citrus offers a bright note for good measure. And a Mixture of Black Pepper, Cinnamon, and Barrel Spices aromas rounds this out. Taste: Once again, the Oak and Agave lead the way! Tastes of Vanilla and Dark Honey bring a nice balanced sweetness. The Candied Citrus also is highlighted in the flavor. Cinnamon with a lighter Black Pepperiness gives this the light tongue tickling of spice. Finish: This offers a medium length finish with the Oak and Agave riding out with the Cinnamon and Black Pepper. The spicy ride of Cinnamon and Black Pepper is nice and balanced. TMM—85 Salud! Asombroso Tequila

Nose: A unique nose that is herbal/vegetal in nature with some sweet elements. Mouth: Herbs and minerals, with some vegetal and agave notes. A good blanco. I’ll never get over the bottle!

A beautiful Silver tequila with nice floral notes and a pretty aroma. The taste is clean and slightly floral. It has a nice long finish for a blanco.

There’s not many Silver Tequilas worthy of sipping out there but this is definitely one of them. Great job!

Good overall blanco. Definitely cooked agave, some vanilla, mint, anise, some type of Mediterranean herb. Flavor wise it’s on the softer side, definitely has a creamy mouthfeel nice cooked agave, vanilla, same as aromas, a little minerality. For a tequila in a “pretty bottle” (well this one is ummm… I don’t feel comfortable holding it) and at under $50, pretty darn good value. I will drink it again, but don’t make me pour it.
