Batch 2 (44%) | Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Oak, Dried Fig, Carmel, Vanilla, Cinnamon Palate: Clove, Cinnamon, Nutmeg Finish: Oak, Toffee, Vanilla, Bruleed Sugar Wow! Much like you'd expect for a 9 year, oak undoubtedly dominates this one. The profile is rich and robust throughout. On the palate, I got darker spices, like clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The finish brought back that familiar oak, along with some sweeter notes as well. Excellent XA!

Batch 2 (44%) | A lot of barrel influence with some traditional XA notes. Only had a small sample, will have to revisit.

What a treat this 9+ years XA is. The Agave still comes through with vanilla, cinnamon, Carmel, Pepper.

Batch 2 (44%) | Batch V.S.B2/XA 44.4% ABV I would say this is amazing juice, aromas cooked agave forward, vanilla, spice, Taste wise, is delicious. Sweet creamy agave, like strawberry like, smoked agave silky oaky taste, spice to end it. This has to be on my top extra anejo. So delicious

Batch 1 (43%) | Surprisingly light on oak tannin/influence on the palette after 9 years of aging and never debarreling. I like the herbal tones that pop through, and was happy to taste agave still. The nose is all caramel and marshmallow. The negative flavor note that pops out is the slightly acidic taste and feeling left on the tongue. It blends a bit with the herbal tones which balance it. Nice to have a non-additive anejo at this age.
