Nose: Very crisp light aroma. Sweet lemon citrus with agave kick. Mild pepper. Grapefruit, fruity, herbal, and sweetness. Like a lemon cleaning product with mixed in, in a good way. Palate: Medium mouth feel and thickness. Sweet agave on the front palate. Shortly followed by beautiful savory butter. Earth and mild pepper comes in. Fruit with plum and prune. Nice sweet lemon finish. For $40, this is a great value
Bottled 11/22/22 N- agave, mint, brine, grass, pepper T- caramelized agave, mineral water, rock candy?, bell pepper, black pepper. Not super complex and definitely sweet but nothing artificial. MF- thin F- short and sweet V- Meh. I had to have it shipped
Signature 1414 profile on the nose, clean palate with a medium heat on the finish. An easy sipper that’s not complex.
Sept 6, 2024. tried from a sample gifted to me from Matt Cavanaugh I really enjoyed this. sweet agave and fruit forward - nice thick legs
Nose: very light agave sweet note / hint of vanilla/ banana/ hint of pear / hint of lime / tea / very light floral scents/ Lavender Taste: agave sweet / vanilla/ hint of cinnamon/ banana/ melon / hints of grapefruit and lime / licorice/ lemongrass/ orange peel / nutmeg/ touch of cream soda Finish: very watery wet and bright ‘cool water’ effect on finish/ sweetness and lime notes remain throughout the whole sip. Bittersweet ending on final swallow This blanco has some great nose aromas and taste notes that make it a complete tasting experience…but the nose is very weak. There are definitely aromas on the nose, but they are extremely faint. Otherwise the flavors and finish are good.
I am a huge NOM 1414 fan. My initial crack and taste on this one is it is really good but not a “blow your socks off “ good that I usually get from a Sergio Cruz tequila. The nose it light and brings out cooked agave, apple, and citrus. I’d like a little more aroma on the nose. Taste is of sweet agave but not like a Siempre. I get black pepper a bit of alcohol taste that again I didn’t get from other 1414 offerings. I get some citrus and floral tastes. I plan on giving this one some time and I may come back and update this if I get something else out of it. Overall, I do recommend this one but right now I would pick Siempre Blanco over this one but I am very happy to have both.
Nose: I get cooked agave, citrus, honeycrisp apple, and possibly a hint of cinnamon. Palate: Citrus, Cinnamon, Artichoke Mouthfeel: light to medium bodied Finish: Citrus, possibly anise and black pepper on the finish. It was not the most complex blanco I've had but I enjoyed it.
Tasting notes from bottling date at NOM 1414: Cooked agave, sweet citrus, orange, herbal, NOM 1414 bitterness, minty, estery finish. Fruity nuances appear but are not as strong (pear, green apple). Complexity low-medium. This profile uses champagne yeast and a natural stabilization period. Stay tuned as it will be released in Jan 2024
Light on the nose with some nice sweet cooked agave. It is a little floral can I pick up a hint of apple. On the taste good cook agave you can tell this is from 1414 . Sergio Cruz definitely has a fingerprint tequila. Citrus floral flavors a little bit of apple and even a touch a banana. Little bit of heat on the finish with a nice sweet pepper flavor. Great price point as well This one is the new label 11/22/2023
For 29$ it is a solid choice.
After 20 minutes scent has floral sweet notes with a cinnamon pepper kicker. Flavor is slightly sweet with a smooth peppery finish medium length and lingering spice. Enjoying siping on this one and found on sale for $37. Solid value
Aroma: This hits on all cylinders with a lot of Fruity Notes. Off the bat, the super sweet cooked agave greets you! You can really pick out the orange peel, lemon, and even a little grapefruit. There's even a tropical fruit note like guava mixing in. There's also an herbalness like fresh thyme and sage. Cinnamon and White Pepper play along nicely. And finally, there's a nice minerality that shines through. Taste: Oh Boy!!! That sweet agave attacks the palate! All the citrus notes of orange peel, lemon, and grapefruit from the nose are very present in the taste! Tropical Fruitiness is playing a role here with a light guava and lychee. You can really get the thyme in flavor along with a light grassiness. There was no trace of pepper, but the cinnamon is a great accompaniment to the rest of what's going on. It has a very nice creamy butteriness to it. The minerality helps balance all these other things out! Finish: The finish is near perfect! The Cinnamon and cooked agave hang on with a light tropical fruit note for 10-15 seconds. Sergio Cruz hit another one out of the park with Delantero!!! This is definitely a brand worth seeking out! This is one of the best tasting Blancos I've had this year! The complexity of the profile should resonate with aficionados and is approachable for a beginner on their journey! This will certainly be a staple on the shelf... And, I may take Ilia up on the offer he has now on their website. Order 3 bottles and get free shipping! It's definitely a deal! Salud!!! TMM 89
Had a wee sample from work. The agave presence is soft compared to other offerings from 1414. A little bit of mint, some bright fruit, and also some minerality. I’ll need to revisit once it hits the shelves.

Nose: Right away, you get cooked agave, fresh citrus, and a hit of florality. And if you know the 1414 profile, that signature minerality is right where you’d expect it. Palate & Mouthfeel: Excellent texture - it’s creamy and full without being heavy. Sweet cooked agave is front and center, backed by earthy notes and that same wet stone vibe from the nose. Citrus cuts through clean, and there’s a touch of anise in the mix. The floral character builds as it goes, and by the finish it starts leaning a bit astringent…not necessarily a bad thing, but noticeable nonetheless. Finish: Carries the floral edge through with some lingering spice. Hangs on longer than I realized at first. Final Thoughts: It’s not flawless, but it’s damn good. The florality rides the line - sometimes a little much, but I love that this profile is pushing the edge. The core flavors are solid, and it drinks like Spring in a glass.
