I’m so confused, this was amazing blanco, mediocre Reposado and here I am loving the Añejo! I am just a silly gringo who drinks too much but maybe this tequila needs that extra time in oak to get a meaningful contribution. This is a great Añejo for true tequila drinkers, it still tells the story of the agave with just a whisper of the oak.

Nose is musty. Palate is ok and finish is odd. It just tastes weird

Nose: vanilla/ butterscotch/ caramel/ cinnamon/ banana/ anise / tea / spearmint/ orange blossom/ nutmeg/ molasses/ honey/ maple Taste: vanilla/ pepper / agave cooked / peppermint/ caramel/ butterscotch/ banana/ hint of melon / lime / orange peel / anise / baking spice / maple / molasses / cream soda Finish: low viscosity mouthfeel with cool water effect / excellent unified flavor throughout the whole taste / balanced with lingering vanilla, agave, and pepper notes. This anejo is very refreshing and enjoyable. The barrel notes are delicious but aren’t overpowering the sweet agave tastes. And though it’s not absolutely balanced, it still has a more unified flavor structure that is definitely delicious.

I had high hopes for this 1414 offering. To that extent it somewhat lets me down. Not that it is bad but it doesn’t excel the way I was hoping for. Nose is strange to me. It agave but everything else seems to meld together. It is hard to define it. I do pick up cooked agave and black cherry. The taste doesn’t jump out either. I get agave and barrel tastes of oak, vanilla and caramel. Then you are hit with black pepper. Maybe too much. A touch of banana. The finish is a bit harsh with alcohol. I have all Lost Lore expressions. This is my least favorite.

i tried all three expressions at the 2023 LATF industry party and really enjoyed them. I will revisit and add my notes when when I get more

Nose: A gently toasted barrel note, cherry, spice and vanilla bean. Light and airy. Minerals and slightly tart citrus. A dusting of pepper. Understated barrel influence - agave/fruit taking the lead. Flavors: Dry herbs, spice and pepper - leaving trace bitterness on the sides of the tongue. Vanilla creaminess. Creeping pepper intensity somewhat balances the dense sweetness. Finishes with a shake of salt and a palate drying oak note.

Nose is quite musty. I get agave, oak, molasses, caramel, dried stone fruit. Plenty of agave on the palate for an aged spirit. it's very sweet. maybe some black cherry. mouthfeel is kind of thin. Zero alcohol burn. It goes down super smooth but there's something stale/musty about the nose and palate. finish is short. it's interesting/unique. kind of funky, but not in the farmhouse/malolactic way. I don't love it but some might. to me it's just ok. easy to drink but odd, a somewhat unsatisfying flavor profile.

Lot 01 / Bottle 304 - I get no Agave…I don’t know it it was the bottle but I have tasted Lost Lore before and it is good. This tastes like Caribbean Rum, with too much sweetness.

At Ka Pina, winner of their Anejo bracket (voted by patrons) of spring 2025. Hot. Mild caramel. Hardly any agave.

Barrel flavor but not all barrel which is great. I enjoy the light sweetness on the nose with vanilla, caramel & banana. Taste on the lips is lasting well after initial sip.
