NOM 1480, LOTE02AAG, acquired recently, tasted on 6-23-24. Color: dark yellow. Aromas: hint of vanilla, hint of wood note, light earthiness, hint of cooked agave, light acidity, after 20 minutes in the glass the wood note becomes more intense and astringent, unnatural agave fiber note becomes apparent and more intense as time goes by, a dusty sensation, a light metallic strong mineral aroma emerges, this aroma combined with the intense agave fiber is quite common for this NOM in recent releases. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, metallic sensation is quite intense, together with vanilla note. Ends slightly bitter. Citrus note. Finish is medium to long, light vanilla, hint of cooked agave, light metallic note with light citrus notes persist.
