Amazing value for a top quality Blanco. Roasted agave all the way through to the finish, it has an abrupt dry finish that I love. This is a gem.
Some nice notes of agave, oregano, sage and natural sweetness on the tongue. A bit surprised at the herbal notes but it's well integrated in the body of the spirit. A bit of a short finish.
An outstanding blanco from the Vivanco distillery. Although production methods are comparable to other brands out of 1414, this expression has a lot to offer. First off, this is a very agave forward blanco. Sure, light citrus, minerality, and pepper is here but cooked agave is what is persuading this tequila lover to come back for more. The finish is also exceptional, leaving a long agave finish dancing on the palate well after most would hang up the taps.
aroma of cooked agave, mineral, pepper, pineapple, earthy. flavor is balanced with cooked agave, honey and biscuits, mineral, tropical fruit, anise, brine. Oily mouthfeel with sufficient alcohol and a medium long finish. Tasted at Ava's in Kenilworth NJ
Nose: sweet agave cooked / peppermint/ mineral/ hint of fruit / grapefruit/ lemongrass/ lavender Taste: sweet agave / cinnamon/ peppermint/ vanilla/ anise / hint of pineapple/ grapefruit/ lime/ lemongrass/ orange peel/ tea / nutmeg/ hint of tobacco/ hint of cream soda Finish: very light viscosity mouthfeel/ lingering sweet agave / anise / cinnamon/ vanilla. Super bright and sweet on front of tongue with nice contrasting peppermint note on final swallow This blanco has a very bright and crisp sweet punch at the start of the sip that’s fantastic. The peppermint and other flavors come in and greet you mid taste, but them they lay back on the couch to watch Netflix while the sweet sisters of anise and agave come back to entertain you to the end. Nice balance and a great sipper.
This blanco smells delicious. Agave first followed by several fruits. Pineapple , apple, banana, orange. There is also earthiness to it. Very complex bouquet. The taste follows the nose. So tasty on the palate. Agave forward. Does have some pepper and the follows with fruits. I get minerals and earthiness. A slightly alcohol burn on the finish but the taste of sweet agave lingers. This is one you should have in your collection. This comes very close to its HP brother (which I rate a 90)
Nose: Agave, sweetness, salt, butter, fresh grass, limestone and grapefruit Palate: Citrus, agave, light black pepper, and the minerals from the well water with light viscosity Finish: Relaxed, calm with a very light touch of pepper on the tongue
Nose: cooked agave, tropical fruits, light smoke, and citrus Flavor: cooked agave, citrus, earthy, pineapple, and slight tropical fruit Finish: nice spicy flavors
One of my all time faves from 1414. Tons of agave sweetness. Long delightful finish. A winner.
Bright agave on the nose, citrus? Nice enjoyable nose I keep going back to. Palate is sweet and easy to drink. Finish is subtle with agave and sweetness. Not bad.
I’m working with a small sample but the nose is excellent. It’s the 1414 agave punch that I expect. The taste is agave for days and nice minerality and citrus before a peppery finish. It’s rustic. It hits my preferred profile.
I tried all three expressions at the 2023 LATF industry party and really enjoyed them. I will revisit and add my notes when when I get more
Agave, minerals, and petrichor on the nose—very nice. Flavor brings agave, minerals, celery salt, and white pepper with a relatively dry finish that tingles. I believe the main difference with Viva Mexico is this one mixes in some wild yeast open air fermentation, and it strikes a different tone. Lost Lore is more mineral and less sweet & citrusy. Very nice.
Good nose sweet agave, minerals, slight orange peel, peppery. You can taste agave and orange/peppery flavor.
smells like agave little corky smooth
Nose honey anise alcohol Taste citrus spice with warm anise honey cucumber and peppery finish
Nose is cooked agave, minerals and citrus. Taste is cooked agave, minerals, pepper and citrus. The glass was a Chisholm Standard Proof Jarrito.
Sweet cooked agave from the start. This is a sipper, keeper.
On the nose, I'm picking up agave, bell peppers, black pepper, and a subtle hint of lemony minerality. On the palate, there’s agave, pepper, orange, and an earthy undertone. A lingering sweetness ties all the flavors together cohisively.
Smooth, lots of cooked agave a little smoke, light vanilla, pepper.
Light, subtle, agave nose followed by agave, citrus and a small amount of pepper and mint. The finish has a touch more pepper which is still subdued. This is very balanced throughout. (Let’s give credit where it’s due…. I found this at Total Wine)
Lot 01 Bottle 545. Bottled 5/22/23. Nice mellow smell of agave, minerals, citrus. Earthy and vegetal. Taste is all agave forward with minerals and citrus. Very nice taste of vanilla on the finish. This is so light and clean and easy to drink. Well done 1414!
Nice nose, pleasant on the first sip. Minerality is there, taste the agave, peppery with a touch of sweetness and a long finish.
Didn't love the aroma notes - reminded me of a wet rag with some minerals, citrus, ethanol, and faint lavendar mixed in. Taste was better than nose but nothing extraordinary. Got some earthy mushroom notes, minerals, pepper, and faint anise. A fried oil note is lingering in the background at times. Good reasonable blanco but not my favorite from 1414. | LOT 2 Update after revisiting: aroma completely changed to fresh greens, jalapeno, mint and flavor changed to a profile I enjoy. Score updated.

Very nice. A little rough. It lets you know it’s there! Aroma is wonderful. Taste and finish are a little hot but overall good flavors.
