Sample provided by Tequila Diva. Tropical fruity right off the bat. Interesting sipper. I would buy this for when I want a fruity cocktail or for offering to someone who isn’t sure if they like tequila.

I tried this at Hacienda El Olvido in Jesus Maria with Fransisco, owner of the distillery. I gave a few minutes on the nose and thought, "Man, I really hope the rest of this experience has more to say." it felt a bit bland. I maybe got some grassy notes and a vague hint of sweetness, but not much else. On the palate, I got some vanilla, lime, and grassy notes, and on the finish, I got a stronger vanilla, honey anise, and black pepper. Conclusion: While the nose was lacking, I found that this tequila got adequate redemption by the time it rested on the palate and into the finish. For me, this wasn't mind-blowing, but still a decent tequila, and one that's fair at the price point. Francisco is also a super cool, kind, and hospitable dude. I am thankful to him for the opportunity and for Christine (TequilaDiva) for pulling the strings to make it happen. Salud!

There are good legs and tears that coat the glass nicely. On the nose I get competing notes of buttery cooked agave and natural vanilla. There are some faint citrus zest and mineral notes. I also pick up some anise in the background. - This is a sweet blanco. The vanilla appears quickly but its accompanied by buttery cooked agave. There’s a vegetal pepperiness with hints of green pepper and muted jalapeño. The finish is equal parts vanilla and pepper. The pepper outlasts the vanilla. - If you are a fan of sipping sweet spirits then this one is for you. I can imagine that this will make a killer Batanga. It can be purchased online through their website. - Salud!

On the nose, I get cooked agave, black pepper, vanilla, but not in an artificial way, and a hint of anise on the end. Not very complex on the nose, yet very inviting. Flavor is lots of cooked agave with a black pepper finish. I also get notes of anise and floral with a mineral note I assume is coming from their water source. Very easy sipper with an enjoyable medium long finish. Similar to the nose flavors aren’t very complex but this is an enjoyable tequila. This tequila is on the sweeter side but I don’t suspect additives. I’ve been told they are going through the TMM additive free program later this year. For the price point this is a great value tequila, would sit well in a cocktail and makes a great sipper. Would recommend this to new tequila drinkers since it is so approachable.
