Nose: On first pass, oak, white pepper and barrel spice. Some dry mineral presence and trace cider and vanilla. The spice elements need a little time to bloom, opening up to an allspice, cardamom, ground ginger and clove amalgam. Maybe a hint of cedar shavings. Flavors: Semi oily mouth feel. Bold white pepper and butterscotch. Buttery with barrel oak center stage - yet leaving room for the agave. Citrus, orange note. Cinnamon red hots. This is not a timid profile. The sweetness and strong vanilla that I found in the blanco are not overpoweringly present in the repo. Finish hangs around. This is no cookie cutter tequila. I would like more information on the age and type of barrels used in the aging. This might be my only quibble here...
