NOM-1113. Mexican 38% abv. joven abocado version, lote: 010, bottled on Diciembre 7/1998, it has a plastic twist cap with fun stopper, this bottle unopened was filled way to the top of the bottle, even turning the bottle around I couldn’t see any bubbles! A small white label on the rear of the bottle states: "Tequila tradicional elaborado con el proceso de fabricación original a base de agave azul tequilana, tatemado en hornos, fermentación natural y destilación lenta." Quite rare to see the cooking or baking of agaves referred to as tatemado! Tasted on 6-2-24. Color: light yellow. Aromas: light sweet cooked agave, hint of acidity, light citrus, light lemon with orange, light earthiness, hint of green vegetal notes, as time goes by the agave becomes sweeter. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, at the very end it feels a tad bitter. Finish is medium to medium long, hint of sweet cooked agave, hint of citrus, hint of green vegetal notes with a hint of earthiness persists.
