Nose: floral/ agave sweet / vanilla/ chocolate: caramel/ pear / lime / tea / nutmeg/ hazelnut/ Taste: agave sweet / chocolate/ vanilla/ peppermint/ banana/ lemongrass/ tea / nutmeg / baking spice / molasses/ Finish: very bright and distinctive flavors linger in a very smooth and velvety mouthfeel. Chocolate just keeps coming back even when you think the finish has completely dissipated. This reposado has a chocolatey flavor and a velvet mouthfeel that just hangs on and keeps going. It’s a great sipper but that big chocolate note could make this a candidate for a dessert tequila. It also has a beautiful sweetness and a nice overall flavor.
The aroma is crisp and vegetal with fresh agave, earth, potent minerality that is reminiscent of wet concrete, dark berries, green citrus and sharp ethyl which cuts through it all distinctly. An atomic agave bomb in the mouth with, caramel, a flash of brown sugar, yeast, oak, mint, cacao, walnuts, brine, fresh, crisp, and vegetal. More initial ethyl than I expected but over a few sips and days it becomes more subdued allowing for more wood notes to be enjoyed. Finish is fresh agave with distinct and crisp minerality.
Solid reposado? doesn't stand out in one specific area but very well made
Agave, mineral, earthy, cinnamon, orange—has its own vibe compared to other brands from 1579.
Terralta Reposado Lote 1 Lote: 0001R40 (Oct 21, 2016) Tasting Date: June 17, 2022 Nose: agave spices oak vanilla fruit with a twinge of pungency (not off putting) Taste: agave fruit vanilla butterscotch a little pepper Finish: nice finish. Sweet agave with a little pepper and heat. Other: this is an old bottle with about 1/4 left in the bottle. it was still delicious and very well balanced. Nice legs, viscosity is buttery not too thick not watery. easy sipper!
Cooked agave and minerality on the nose….some oak but not overly present black pepper and some hints of floral ….agave on the mouth with minerality …. medium finish
Aroma: Agave, and a sharp note that reminds me of sourdough bread. Palate: Surprisingly sweet agave, and vanilla bean. Butter, minerals, and citrus. White pepper on the finish. Lingering clove or baking spice note. Verdict: Another stunner from 1579, Terralta might just be the best of the bunch for me. For the $42 I paid for this, it’s almost a steal.
Very good. Agave, little oak, slight minerals , pepper, little fruit and slight caramel
This was a Mexico bottle at 38°/76 proof. The lower proof may be why my score was a bit higher than those that rated the American version. It’s delicious at 38°!
Nose opens with agave, oak and citrus followed by minerals. Aroma carries through to flavor, although oak is not masking anything. Mineral and earth comes through from use of well water. Butterscotch, vanilla, cinnamon highlight the great finish. Felipe does it again. A top reposado for about $49
I ranked this one pretty high but it hit me just right. Very light tinting on this due to the reuse barrels. The nose is full of cooked agave, baking spice, oak, honey, and a faint earthy floral note that kept my face in my glass over and over. Well water influence I'm sure. On the palate the agave and oak dominate, feeding more baking spice. Black pepper, white pepper, wet earth, citrus, vanilla, and stone fruits are all present. The aging managed to leave plenty of alcohol bite without being a flaw- just enough to know it's not messing around. Medium dry finish. Another banger from EP!
Like this repo from an outstanding NOM. Light, sweet agave and vanilla flavors. Well balanced, true to the spirit
Cooked agave, vanilla, caramel, slight oak on the nose. Some floral notes as it opens up. Cooked agave comes through in the flavor with oak, pepper, a bit of mineral. Finish starts buttery and ends long and spicy. One of my favorite reposados without a doubt!
Tasted at Don Quinta Jose. Like it’s G4 cousin this is a really good reposado. Very smooth and rich across the board. Easy to drink...dangerous.
Tons of agave on the nose, unfortunately the oak exposure has muted the flavour that I love so much. This is still an exceptional tequila and anyone will make anyone smile once they try it!!
TMM Reposado Blind Tasting
Vivacious nose. Ripe full agave notes with floral undertones, sweet spices, ripe peaches, and a touch of pungency. Minerals with a touch of edginess. Flavor: Pepper heat, tons of agave, fruit, vanilla, butterscotch and almond cream. A cider sweetness and light salinity. A big hit of anise. Finish lingers. I could drink this all night. These guys makes outstanding juice!
This was a really well balanced Reposado that has a ton of cooked agave character, a thick and oily mouthfeel and a long finish with a great balance of barrel influence and agave kick. The bottle didn't last long.
I was really excited with the nose but was let down with the body and the finish. Lacks a punch and the finish is surprisingly short and underwhelming.
Mexico version, 38 abv: Wet earth, hint of jalapeño, vanilla nose. Nice mouthfeel and minerality. Naturally sweet -Too easy to drink! This is my regular go-to.
Very spicy and a logical extension of the blanco presentation. Lightly aged with oak elements evident this is an agave explosion in your mouth. Not for everyone, this is a big punchy, in your face repo.
Beautiful fresh complex and balanced
Tried at COA in Oak Brook IL. Solid nose on this. Agave and stone fruit. Taste is agave forward with very light barrel influence. Nice repo.
Lot LT0003R40 26/06/2020 Aroma: vanilla toffee and wet stone, some vegetal notes and eucalyptus Flavor: all the above with brown sugar and spices Mouthfeel: medium body and almost no alcohol burn Finish: Long sweet juicy finish Color: very light straw

At first smell it is like a bed of roses. Sweet agave, vanilla and oak along with citrus. Taste is sweet agave, vanilla and oak. There is black pepper that wasn’t so present on the nose. It tastes minerals and citrus with a touch of butter. Finish is wonderful. Another great offering from Terralta.
