This is what you would expect from a blanco. Nose: cooked agave, earth, black pepper, citrus, grass, minerals, and vegetal. Palate: cooked agave, grass, earth, vegetal, olive, black pepper, citrus, and minerals. Great mouth feel with a medium to long finish. A great sipper from a great brand. An amazing blanco.

Starts with aromas of vegetal, celery-like minerality, loaded with vibrant citrus, with some hints of black pepper and sage. The flavor blends citrus and pepper into a base of light vegetal sweetness and cooked agave. Well-balanced on the finish, leaving behind continued notes of black pepper, agave, and celery, with no bitterness at all, quite phenomenal.

Nose: agave / earth / pepper/ minerals / vegetal / faint citrus / lime / lemongrass/ hay / hint of floral/ salt / alcohol Taste: sweet cooked agave / vanilla/ cinnamon/ pepper / vegetal / earth / banana/ lime / anise / lemongrass/ spearmint/ tea / orange blossom/ light cream soda Finish: crisp clean bright lightly viscous mouthfeel / fantastic cooked agave is center stage while the pepper, earth, minerals, and alcohol all are there but they’re just the rhodies at a rock show. They’re working hard they just can’t overcome the sweetness which is playing a guitar solo. This blanco is a great entry level point for many tequila lovers. You can find it easily but the taste of this G4 blanco just keeps you coming back for more.

Just a wonderful expression out of 1579 yes, I do love the NOM. The nose is so sweet with cooked agave. We get earthiness and minerals that are probably because of the water. I get some floral notes. I find citrus and fruit. The nose is just a dream. The taste is also great with agave, earth and black pepper. I get a touch of vanilla and butter. It is also earthy like the nose with a touch of citrus. I do love this tequila. It is a great blanco that most can obtain.

I’m a bit a late on sipping G4 Blanco. I was not disappointed, in typical G4 fashion, this is an easy sipping blanco. Cooked agave, fresh cut grass on the nose. Taste was agave with earthy notes and a clean crisp finish.

Lot12 The aroma to me is very soft tropical fruit, flowers and water. I think of green melon, strawberries, banana very light, pepper, light caramel, and vanilla. It is not a smack you in your face smell, it's very inviting. When you first taste it on the tongue and taking that first little inhale, I taste alcohol, I almost thought I was going to be greeted by the average alcohol taste, but that disappears faster than my mind recognized and then it opens up and becomes soft on the pallet as it did on the nose. I taste agave, pepper, citrus, fresh, green bell pepper, caramel, and vanilla. The dry down to me has a slight cacao taste. This blanco is superb.

Aug 12, 2023 G4 side-by-side old white label and newer blue label blancos Old white label G4 L0002B Nov 17, 2012 has a more tropical nose - banana, melon, some alcohol/heat. not a lot of pepper on nose. Palate - sweet agave New blue label G4 LEXP0014B Apr 4, 2022 nose is more grassy, vegetal, rain. Some slight malalactic notes, jalepeno, green pepper, a little alcohol. Palate pepper agave. Both are really good they're just different. The white label bottle had been opened and parafilmed for some time and we just opened the blue label tonight. will revisit blue label again in a few weeks -------------------- G4 blanco Tasted July 9 2022 NOM 1579 Lote L0002B Nov 17 2012 NOTES: this is an old bottle that's been open for awhile so nose and taste may be more subtle than if new. I didn't note finish NOSE: rain, agave, alcohol, pepper, caramel TASTE: agave, pepper, mellow flavors I rank this in the middle of the six 1579 blancos I tasted tonight (all but don vicente) it's about equal to terralta and pasote

Very green agave and mineral forward in aroma. Clean and floral. Taste is of agave with light mint and herbs. Sweet but not overly so. Well balanced. Finish has slight burn but add some pepperyness.

Great nose. Cooked agave coming through and the rain water gives it a very fresh, green, grassy aroma. Flavor is nice. Sweet, with some cooked agave, minerality, anise toward the end. I get a little fruitiness as well. Finish is not super long but good. A little bit of heat on the back end and finishes green. I wanted to like this tequila more but it’s got a sweetness (not fake) to it that I don’t love and I feel like the agave is a little lost.

In the glass it’s perfectly clear and clean with tears that definitely linger. The expected mouthfeel is something to look forward to. On the nose it’s agave front and center. Fresh rain and minerals are also there, waiting patiently. The palate is again cooked agave dominant with minerals, black pepper, and grass complimenting nicely. Great mouthfeel as expected. It’s got a long finishing heat with a lingering vegetal component that is not unwelcome. Definitely a regular in my home collection!

Re-rating with the new wood fermented batch. On the nose, cooked agave, but also something vegetal. Lots of noticeable citrus, like orange peel and lemon peel. Something like pine. Honestly I almost want to say Pine Sol, but not in a bad way, if that makes sense. Definitely some spices, something between cinnamon and clove. On the palate, that citrus and agave combo, with a distinct cinnamon note on the end. Dry and oily, really coats the tongue. I get some of the minerals but distinct piney/citrusy note dominates throughout for me. Super creamy, almost like a lemon agave custard. The agave and the creamy citrus are so intermingled that I can’t get one without the other. Tasted side by side with an original batch and they’re very different. In a blind tasting, I wouldn’t have even guessed they were the same tequila. Both are excellent, but very different. I hope they keep making both.

Very, very well made Blanco. Crisp, clean, grassy, can taste the agave with every sip. A winner from Felipe C. and his amazing El Pandillo distillery. Excellent value as well, one of the best 4-5 tequilas you can get for under $40 in So Cal. Great neat, on the big rock or in a cocktail.

Aroma : Cooked agave, peppercorns, vegetal and light earth. Little bit of citrus here too. Taste : Lots of agave, black pepper and there's some earth and grass notes here as well that are unique in character. The trademark grass and earth of this tequila hold the place of minerality with Pasote. Full and thick flavor. Finish : Long and prolongs more cooked agave flavors and earth. It doesn't really do this tequila justice to say it tastes like "agave, pepper, earth, and grass" there's something unique about these flavors that you have to experience.

Tequila is made with agave crop from Las Pómez farm. Aroma includes lots of cooked agave, nuts, cucumber, herbal, pepper, vegetal. Oily mouth with butter and citrus in flavor. Finish mixed with minerals, agave, white pepper and herbal notes. Lots of pearls and skinny legs left behind. $49/bottle

Oh yes. This is where it’s at. Minerals on the nose, limestone. Taste is agave forward, well rounded, slightly sweet. Fantastic taste. Great long finish, with just enough heat to remind you it’s a blanco. Love it

On the nose, a robust cooked agave forward with a hint of pepper. A tantalizing bouquet of cooked agave on the palate, delicious. Undertones of pepper, citrus, and a bit of earthiness. A lasting and smooth finish with very little alcohol. For the 50 dollar price tag, this is my go to sipping blanco. Overall, one of the great blancos from one of the best distilleries in Jalisco. Cheers!

I think there’s a lot more going on than I can describe. Fresh jalepeño and agave is much of the aroma. There are other things I can’t figure out. The taste is pretty powerful and peppery with some licorice. The finish is my favorite part—smooth with some of the jalapeño from the aroma.
