NOM 1110 | Kind of the same as the Blanco, it starts good but then fizzles quick and ends rather nasty. I gotta say the smell is amazing, if nothing else this scores big points for that!

NOM 1438 | NOM 1438. This bottle was a couple years old in my library, so I think it probably mellowed out a little. I also rated it against the TasteTequila preferred scale which is a bit more generous than the scale I would have rated this against previously. It has some light caramel notes on the nose, following through on the palate. There's some agave pepper 'bite' to it, which is nice. This all carries into the finish which is a bit more than pleasant. However, there's more interesting options out there, even at this price point. So, I'm not sure I would ever buy this again if Muchote, Quita Penas, or Tapatio were available, but I wouldn't turn this away if it were offered.

Lots of caramel apple, specifically green apple! Both on the nose and the palate. Hints of butterscotch and vanilla as well. A little bit of spiciness but not much. Very smooth. De-lish!

Smoothe agave flavor with not much other character. I remember the anejo with a bit more fondness

I am typically a blanco purist but tried this tequila as it was highly recommended. The aroma was strong with agave and had a surprising citrus component to it as well which helped build my anticipation. Up front the tequila is solid with agave flavoring I expected a very woody finish given it being anejo but the woodiness was not overwhelming. The finish was smooth and there's no linger. I detected hints of caramel and vanilla that worked well with the slight woody character.
