Nothing fancy, nothing offensive. Good for the price.

Aroma and flavor are both pretty basic and not complex at all. Not too sweet, and the finish is easy on the throat. It's a simple and safe choice for people who might be new to tequila.

Los Valientes tequila blanco NOM -740, same cloth wrapping around the bottle, it has a fun stopper with a steel twist cap wrapped with black leather, the neck of the bottle is also wrapped with black leather. 40% ALC. VOL. Rear of the bottle states: Hecho en Mexico por Industrialización Desarrollo Santo Tomás S.A. de C.V. Lazaro Cardenas No. 16 Santo Tomás, Jalisco México. No lot codes nor marbete but it looks like an 80’s to 90’s bottling. Tasted on 8-1-24. Aroma: starts off as raw agave, earthy, dusty, acidity, but after 30 minutes in the glass light sweet cooked agave notes emerge, together with a hint of black pepper spiciness & light resinous sweetness, feels thick and oily. The aromas evolved quite drastically probably because this is a newly opened bottle of an old tequila. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, very straightforward, I taste what I smell, good sweet and sour balance. Light resinous sweetness feels dry at the end and on my retronasal. Whiff of anise through my retronasal. Thick and oily. Finish is medium to medium long, light sweet cooked agave, light raw agave, light earthiness with a hint of anise note persists.
