Nose: Muted and muddy. But not horrible. Flavors: Horrible. Had to spit it out horrible. Bitter. Acrid. Horrible!

Smells and profiles like 100% agave until it hits the back palette and the other sugars reveal themselves. Hood value for making margaritas.

Classic horrid cheap mixto gives tequila a bad name!

For many in Germany the First Tequila, offen with mixed feelings. The 100% Agave Lines from Sierra are much better.

Admittedly, this sample was a science experiment while at a Tex-Mex restaurant in Warsaw…. Nose had some hints of agave, more of alcohol and most of acetone. Tasting was all downhill from there. Just nasty, bitter and chemically characteristic. Would not sip again if you paid me. Wouldn’t use in mixed drinks either for fear of what the morning-after would bring.

Mexican 38% abv., D.O. 166, lote: 281004 0843, marbete is from 2003, tasted on 3-26-24. Aroma: hint of raw agave, alcohol sensation is low, hint of acidity, light minerality, aromas are quite subtle. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, hint of black pepper. Finish is short, hint of raw agave, hint of cooked agave, hint of citrus with a hint of earthiness persists but not too long.

Agave is evident but strong alcohol on nose and finish. Use for mixing only or don't drink it all. Sadly, it's an improvement from Sauza Gold or Jose Cuervo Gold.

Why does everyone use this stuff, it's horrible! I'd rather drink vodka mixed with drain cleaner.

Haven’t savoured that sweet Jaliscan Nectar in close to half a year, so I’m almost certainly giving this more credit than it deserves. But damn, right now, it’s hitting the spot.

Kid’s tequila for shooting, and about nothing else. But it comes with a hat. I’m sure it’s fine for a margarita, but I prefer a tequila I can drink.

Had a cool tasting of Value Tequilas. Sierra Silver was the unanimous hands down winner. Included was Jose Cuervo, Olmeca and Sauza. The kicker here is that Sierra was super smooth with nice typical silver tequila notes and much much smoother than the other Tequilas. This is a quality Tequila that shines when compared to other offerings. If you are looking for a value Tequila this is the only one I could recommend based solely on how darn good it is for the price.
