Cheap? Yep. But there’s quality and history to be found in this agave spirit.
Blind tastings are the best way to find out what you really like, free of marketing hype, bias, and previous experiences. They also give you the opportunity to experience tequila in a whole new way—using only your senses.
The aroma presents a rich array of scents, including cooked agave, walnut, white sugar, vanilla, baked sweet potato, peppermint, lime citrus, and warm ethyl. On the palate, flavors of warm peppermint, anise, baked sweet potato, and mint unfold, accompanied by a distinct blast of ethyl heat and a hint of grassiness that transitions slightly sourly into the finish. In the dry down, lingering notes evoke reminiscences of bitter white wine and sour citruses, leaving a long-lasting impression, albeit for me, not completely favorable.
