I get allot a lot of alcohol on the nose along with pepper and vanilla. Actually tastes better than it smells but for the cost not a great value.
I have had this MX release bottle with 2007 tax stamp since 2009 so was somewhat surprised I had yet to rate it. Still 2/3 full it doesn't taste compromised at all. Sweet like sugar water and coats the mouth as in added glycerin. Some ethanol for finish and no agave to be seen.
NOM 1595 | Way too sweet for my blanco taste buds. Additives, additives, additives
NOM 1416 | It’s artificially sweetened tequila which is a waste of agave. Don’t waste your money. Find an artisanal tequila instead.
Overall the taste is good. Smooth and I got a surprising amount of agave and pepper. It’s a little overly sweet and way over priced.
NOM 1595 | I am not typically a fan of Silver Tequilas. This Plata changes my opinion... it follows the Clase Azul trend and is very sweet on the pallet, vegetal and agave very present. The finish is where this tequila stands out. Nice light burn with a pleasant agave finish.
NOM 1595 | No nose. Sweet bomb. Not for me thanks
NOM 1416- A unique and out of the ordinary tequila. Strong aromas of agave, pepper, citrus, vanilla, cream soda, and alcohol. Flavors are on the sweet side with vanilla and caramel predominant, and pepper and agave present, and a little cinnamon. Finish is sweet with pepper and cream soda mix with fruits and mint, leaving silky legs on glass. Price is steep perhaps because of the bottle.
NOM 1595 | Just way too sweet, it’s doesn’t hold a lot of classic agave flavour hence the rating.

NOM 1416 | Nose is fruity and very floral. Hints of agave and pepper. I detect an odd trace of cotton candy. Flavor: First hit of cinnamon and pepper quickly turns into a heavy, syrupy sweetness. A little pepper creeps back in, but over the top sweetness is the prevalent impression. Little to no desirable finish. Just too cloying...
NOM 1416 | Very light nose, hard to pick up anything distinctly agave. The entry is super sweet, obviously manipulated with additives. Sugary and heavy vanilla, like a cream soda. The finish lasts way longer than it needs to. This stuff is gross.
NOM 1416 | NOM 1416 The aroma is very subtle/non-descript. A bit of grass and licorice is all I pick up. Maybe just a hint of cooked agave and black pepper. The primary flavor is peppermint. This tequila is very syrupy and overpoweringly sweet. This is one of those cases where it is hard to believe that some sort of additive isn't involved. This just doesn't taste natural. For all the spice in the flavor, the finish is very brief. For the price, this is a big disappointment. 3/20/2016
NOM 1416 | Way too sweet!...
NOM 1416 | Aroma: Very strong anise notes with hints of vanilla and agave. Flavor: Very strange and not what I was expecting at all. It's overly sweet and doesn't taste natural to me at all. There's no sign of agave and it reminds me a bit of eating candy.
NOM 1416 | Not picking up much on the nose. Clean and smooth. The sweetness overpowers any other flavors present. Nice long spicy finish though. Too sweet for me. I think this may be the most overpriced blanco I've had.
NOM 1416 | A bit too syrupy for my taste, but wonderful to smell.
A lots of sugar and additives, smell like ordinario, the finish is like a cough medicine (jarabe para la tos)
NOM 1595 | Aroma is vegetable like Flavor is pepper Finish is agave and immediately earthy. I had a a pour neat for $26 in a Acopa Memphis old fashioned glass. I would not buy the bottle as I feel this is overpriced.
NOM 1595 | Spicy. Pepper
NOM 1416 | Im drinking Syrup with alcohol.
NOM 1595 | Soft nose. Some agave, vanilla, alcohol. Thin mouthfeel. Smooth and sweet with vanilla and caramel notes. Nice lingering cinnamon-spice finish.
Aroma - sweet, vanilla, low agave, medium citrus Flavor - not as sweet as the nose, less vanilla as well. nice agave, low citrus, not much else finish - slightly sweet but not much to remember it by overall - a friend had a bottle, it was better than I expected but unremarkable. at $130 this is way overpriced.
Sweet taste and smooth. How would this taste without additives. Bottle is pretty.

Definitely has a lot of additives. Not good. Very sweet with a lot of vanilla that turns medicinal. Very little to no agave, with a light almost non existent pepper.
