$70 in San Francisco Aroma: 23 A sweet olive covered in a warm vanilla glaze with caramelized cooked agave sprinkles. Vegetal and herbal spice. Palate: 26 Thick pleasant viscosity and body. Oak and vanilla up front followed by cooked agave and mild lemon citrus. Finish: 22 Medium length with a warming touch which rounds out as it settles. Value: 6.5-7 Artenom is a great safe buy.

Nose: Cooked Agave, Cinnamon, Cream Soda, Oak, Butter, Maple, Carmel, Black Pepper and Some Minerality. Mouthfeel: light to medium bodied Palate:Cinnamon, Agave, artichoke, Tropical Fruit Finish: Agave, Cinnamon, Anise, Black Pepper This was enjoyable and a bit more mild than some of the other 1414 reposados I've had. Much more subtle carmel, Toffee and Oak Notes and much more prominent cooked agave.

This was a neck pour. Strong alcohol on the nose with agave, vanilla, oak and caramel. Plenty of pepper, too. The taste is of cooked agave, pepper, oak and vanilla. This is one I will come back and re-evaluate after it has time to breathe. It is good now but I expect more from 1414 and this may have it but I can’t get that at the moment

Nose: agave sweet/ vanilla/ caramel/ pepper / fruity / green apple / citrus/ orange blossom/ chocolate/ molasses Taste: agave sweetness/ pepper/ vanilla / caramel/ cinnamon/ banana/ lime/ black tea / nutmeg Finish: smooth / sweet and a little spicy pepper/ the agave sweetness and barrel notes of caramel and vanilla remain for the short finish that is clean and fresh This reposado has more sweet notes and they really overpower everything. There are other flavors that come through, but it’s the sweetness that carries the whole experience. It’s unbalanced in that way, though the final result on the finish is enjoyable.

One of my favorite reposados.

Tasty sipper. Big vanilla & caramel nose with agave undertones. Nice viscosity coats the palate leading to a long sugary finish. I can see why people like it, but just not my favorite profile.

I really enjoyed this like everything by ArteNOM. Seemingly lightly aged with a pale straw color, hints of coffee, hay, banana and a little cherry. A nice easy sipper with a pleasant finish.

Smells and tastes like a fresh baked sugar cookie. Although this Tequila is in the sweet side, I don’t detect any additives or flavours that don’t belong, this is all from the barrel. This reminds me so much of Chamuco, which I can’t get anymore. Definitely a top selection for me.

Aroma is sweet and fresh like water (simplified). To me; this taste very vegetal and outdoors. An agave bomb that taste cooked yet fresh. Very sweet, caramel, brown sugar honey, oak, some kind of fruit that hangs from a tree, and balsamic . A peppery finish that just dies down pleasantly opening up to citrus notes on tongue and throat, last for less than ten minutes . A effervescent taste all in all. Update: 3 months later same bottle. EOB Taste more nutty, earthy, chocolate and beyond easy to drink. When I first opened the bottle the taste reminded me of fresh earth after rain or spring, now taste like sweet earth. More delicious now than before.

Light scents of cooked agave, with notes of dried figs and garden herbs. A pleasant sweetness across the palate, with a light flavor similar to those present on the nose. The finish is a burst of fresh herbs, primarily basil, mixed with white pepper. Easily the most “herbal” of any tequila I’ve tasted, which makes it interesting.

Story: The reposado expression of the ArteNOM series. Aroma: Honey, clear as day. Agave comes after, intermingled with vanilla, slightly floral. Pineapple. Definitely some ethanol, and a hint of butter cookie. Palate: Cooked agave, very prominent but soft vanilla. A gorgeous sweetness, and definitely a bit oily. It’s got a little heat on it, but It’s so soft, and I get a caramel note that comes in and out. Very long finish. Verdict: Buy. Absolutely love it. I have been lucking out with reposados lately, but I use the app a lot to find what I might like, so I can’t say I’m surprised. Still, this is a stunning reposado, I am very happy to have it in my collection and i have a strong feeling it won’t last long.

Vastly superior to General Gorostieta. Packs way more flavour and has a funky element that I really liked. A light reposado in the wood notes but heavy on the floral and funk. Very nice.

Yum! Aroma is very inviting and is that a hint of bubblegum? Taste is good. Finish is also great with some sweetness and agave.

agave definitely comes through on this one. Revisited this one and really enjoying it on the second go around. Beautiful agave on the nose. Barrel influence is fairly minimal on this one as the agave is front and center

Original post- Loads of pepper... pretty good after a couple of sips. Can taste some oak, slight cinnamon and a lil vanilla. Different but nice After trying again I let it air out and it was fantastic. The third time was even better. Has moved into my top 10 easily. Make sure you let it air out for about 10-15min to let it express itself. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.

In the glass it’s a nice clean pour with tight tears and coating. Perfectly clear with a light yellow tint. On the nose it’s got cooked agave up front, straw, yeast/sourdough, citrus, floral. The palate is fairly light but pretty complex and not overly viscous. Clean tasting agave, pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla with a nice ethanol heat. Interestingly I detected little to no oak notes. The finish is a nice medium to long. Overall outstanding tequila and would highly recommend!

Aroma : Light agave, butter, caramel and pepper. Hints of banana and grass as well. Taste : The cooked agave is ever so light here, and there are notes of butterscotch, oak, and pepper that present a spicy and oily mouthfeel. Finish : Medium/long with a tasty sweet and spicy dynamic from light fruit and pepper. The flavor profile is slightly less refined than I would like, but even then this reposado can easily compete with more well known bottles you'll see on this app like expressions from El Pandillo and La Alteña.

40% lote ANREP 1831 Nose: A very unique grilled pineapple, butterscotch, tart lemon/orange entrance. Followed up with the scents reminding me of Grandma’s dank root cellar - very earthy and holding flinty mineral elements. A touch of barnyard funk (not a bad thing). Balanced barrel spices complement the up front agave aromas. The faintest hint of oak. Somewhat subdued aromas. Flavor: Silky, oily, buttery. Agave forward natural sweetness, robust pepper & spice, fruit, a muted pencil shavings note and creamy butterscotch all blend in a very balanced fashion. This tequila has character that doesn’t get in its own way.

Agave from beginning to end on the Repo. Not saying this is a bad thing, just very forward. Herbal notes and an almost sweet finish. Pepper is present but not over powering.

ArteNOM 1414 I smell some cooked agave along with faint vanilla and caramel. The nose is light but there’s a lot going on in this glass. The flavors aren’t turned down. I taste sweet cooked agave along with creamy caramel, pepper and white oak. The finish is vey nice. The flavors linger on the back of my pallet. It’s a pleasant sipper.

Very herbaceous and bright on first sip with a pleasant, mild, slightly sweet finish. Has a lot of depth, agave is present from start to finish.
