Another bargain brand, this blanco is on a par with thr La Puerta Negra. Some bitter notes hold this back.

Alluring nose of fresh agave, black pepper, apple and grass. Fairly bitter on front palate, and finishes hot. A great value.

NOM 1438 | 40% abv., LOTE: CBN 678, bottled on 30/08/23 L2, this is a round bottle with a blue plastic twist cap with fun stopper, tasted on 12-23-24. Aroma: light cooked agave, light raw agave, light green vegetal notes, light acidity, after 20 minutes in the glass a hint of agave fiber with a hint of sweetness emerges, although it is produced in NOM 1438, however, in a blind tasting flight of 6 tequilas I didn’t think this tequila had additives, so, I give it the benefit of doubt. Hint of pepper spiciness. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, it is more bland on the palate, therefore ethanol sensation is medium to medium high. Finish is medium, hint of cooked and raw agave with a hint of agave fiber aroma persists.

$14 a fifth. Ammonia and slight agave nose. Dry neutral spirits finish with some agave, pepper, and roasted nuts. Nothing offensive. Bland as a sipper. Passable as a mixer or shooter.
