NOM 1412 | A delightful aromatic investigation is marked by straightforward notes of agave, subtle oak, ethyl, honey, and a touch of spice, setting the stage. Upon savoring, there is a intriguing symphony of flavors featuring the harmonious dance of oak, agave, light caramel, barrel spice, rich walnut, a subtle hint of dark chocolate, a warm embrace of alcohol, and the delightful essence of coconut. The palate is graced with a hint of pepperiness that adds character without overwhelming the tongue. The grand finale unfolds in a finish that gracefully fades with a hint of pepper, a touch of light minerality, and the lingering presence of agave, all accompanied by a persistent honey sweetness and a subtle berry note. This combination ensured a memorable conclusion of my tasting experience.

NOM 1412 | Corrido single barrel reposado. Very nice! Similar notes to what I sensed in the regular Repo—Butterscotch, grapefruit, barrel spice, oak, agave. Nice tears, tingle and medium finish.

NOM 1412 | Corrido ages their blanco in symphony barrels for around 6 months to achieve their desire flavor profile. A symphony barrel is a barrel made from multiple wood types and Corrido uses 3 wood types to make their unique barrels; French Limousin oak, Missouri white oak & Hungarian oak. These barrels also provide the pale yellow gold hue. - Cooked agave greets you first along with warm barrels spices and then some light floral notes. There’s some pleasant alcohol vapors with hints of pineapple, apple and fresh cut peppers. Some light caramel and vanilla vapors are present and there’s a slightly earthy and vegetal note too. It’s a layered nose that’s not too dense or confusing but full of cohesiveness. - Sweetness starts on the tip of your tongue and then the buttery cooked agave rushes is. Warm cinnamon and barrel tannins show up along with hints of natural vanilla, caramel and faint rosemary. That’s followed by a nice warming and peppery finish. - This is a solid reposado that’s still full of agave but also starts introducing you to barrel influence. - Their bottles look great and the back label has a picture of a Mariachi playing a guitar on the backside that faces the front of the bottle. - NOM1412

NOM 1412 | On the nose, a little bit of honey and butter, butterscotch, oak, and then agave. A fruity note and then something like iced tea, interestingly enough. A little Vanilla on the end. The agave comes through on the palate, definitely getting a little caramel and nice, round sweetness. A little bit of spice, some oak and some stone fruit, maybe apricot, but more of the seed than the fruit. The vanilla is subtle like on the nose. Very good Repo, a little pricy but good.

NOM 1526 | NOM 1526: One of the best repos made. This extinct treasure bottle is worth the hunt. Tons of sweet cooked agave, citrus, nutty, macadamia, honeydew, cinnamon crumb donut, spice, fantastic linger.

NOM 1526 | A really good reposado that sadly is no longer in production. Spicy agave nose is followed by smooth roast agave and barrel spice of oak and toast elements along with agave sweetness. Fairly long tingly finish rounds out the experience. This has a clear golden color and appears and tastes unadulterated by additives, in particular caramel, which is fairly common these days in many reposado tequilas.

NOM 1526 | Sweet wood on the nose, mainly butterscotch and vanilla. Mild agave present in the background. Sweet entry, but short lived. Caramelized agave mid-palate, with hint of citrusy grapefruit peel. The finish is malty butterscotch with a touch of pleasant bitterness. A nice, but unchallenging sipper.

NOM 1526 | Big aroma of butterscotch/butter that pretty much overpowers more subtle apple and agave. Flavor of butterscotch is definitely upfront and prominent but not overly sweet. The sweetness is definitely cut by a nice warmth and black pepper flavor. The finish is long and smooth. The reposado is a great, natural follow-up to the blanco.

NOM 1526 | Amazing butterscotch note on the nose that only grows the more it rests. I also get some of the raw agave (much like the blanco but toned down). The flavor follows suit with a very interesting mix of agave and butterscotch. I love that the barrel doesn't mask the agave like so many. The finish is smooth and not overpowering. Definitely one of my favorite tequilas. I wish they were still around! BA 11-2011 Bottle: 182/310

Simple to a fault. smooth to a fault. No flavor worth talking about. I see why this is popular. People who don’t like tequila will love it.

Tequila Corrido Reposado is a rich, artfully-crafted single-barrel tequila

Late last year I had the pleasure of sampling Corrido Cristalino, and I was a huge fan of the tequila's complex flavor, writing that it is "nearly as perfect a blanco as you can get." When I was given the opportunity to taste the new Corrido single-barrel

Corrido is a formidable new kid on the tequila block

During the time of U.S. Prohibition, the Corrido, a musical form of Mexican folklore, often honored the tequilero, or tequila smugglers, who gained popularity along the border. The "smugglers" of Corrido tequila are hoping for a similar popularity.
